The New York Knicks are finalizing a deal that sends G Elfrid Payton, F Kevin Knox and a 2021 Dallas Pick to New Orleans for G Lonzo Ball, sources tell ESPN.
definitely heard pels have commited to moving on from Ball and in talks with knicks
Its a great deal if we didnt give up Mitch.
Not seeing where mitch and Zion make a good mix
Dont see why it wouldnt. Mitch doesnt need the ball to be effective. Zion is a willing passer. They need an upgrade at the 5.
They have Steven Adams at $17m & $18M over the next 2 years AND would have to extend Mitch or lose him and this would be a good idea how...?
Tough to see us outdoing the Bulls. They got Coby White + Lauri to deal with.
BigDaddyG wrote:Jimbo5 wrote:Why do i feel like the knicks lost that trade? Rivers and iggy for ferguson? Thats it? I will be sure we lost the trade if that roster spot was made for Drummond!
I don't see it as a loss or win. Just an interstitial move. I root for Iggy, but he's not an NBA player. And Rivers was in the doghouse. The Knicks just cleared space. Maybe Fergs pops, but I don't think they're worried either way.
Gotta clear potential locker room cancers. Rivers is someone thsts healthy amf can ball. So he will only get more and more upset over lack of playing time.

Gee, I guess there is no way they could move Adams in the offseason.

Going to be awkward if Frank's moved in the next hour.
One degree of separation for Frank fans.
Unavoidable

Lol. Two guys I thought we should get. Especially if a sign a trade could be worked out.
Trent is RFA and Powell ha a player option but can and likely will be UFA. I’m not sure I get the angle unless Portland trading McAllumm or dare I say Dame? Trent and Hood 2 Dukies!
Not to mention, Trent played really well in the playoffs last year. I said it on another thread. Trent seemed unhappy with his role. May have been a request-type situation. Either way, Portland was not going to afford either of them next year.

Lou Williams and 2 second round picks. Solid for Hawks

Lou was a big spark for them. Did they want him out that bad?

Rajon's championship experience was important as well. Agree, Im surprised they moved him.
Its so quiet in the knicks side, less than an hour to go. Hoping the FO can pull out a miracle and get us Lonzo. The next best senario is for ball to stay with the Pelicans

Lou has dropped off of late. They need playmaking more than they need perimeter shooting at this point. I'm guessing they're just gonna keep Rondo on ice until the playoffs.

So Payton to the Clippers is not happening. Hoping the knicks can find a new home for payton or atleast buy him out
Kawahi and Rondo conversing on a similar wavelength...
No Dipo news at all today?
Has to be a Frank (and more) for Dipo in the works. Karma.

Miami allegedly talking to Houston about him.
