He should be available in the middle of the first round. I don't see him higher than 13 due to age. He is the best perimeter defender in the draft, can shoot, and is just enough of a PG to run a team. He probably needs to play next to other playmakers but Randle does most of that anyways, plus it makes him a nice fit next to Barrett, Quickley, or Rose too. Maybe some team falls in love with him above the Knicks, but realistically i can't see a lottery team not in win-now mode drafting him. Too many higher-upside players in this draft. Thibs would love him though. Match made in heaven.
Yeah I see him as a nice Thibs pick too. The only thing that concerns me with him is how his shooting will translate. We’ve seen guys who make dramatic improvements as a shooter in last year of college just to revert back to mean. His scoring ability for a guard is very impressive and I agree he’s an okay enough passer. Funny enough his game resembles that of a slightly less athletic Donovan Mitchell.
We could use bigger players but if he falls he has to be considered with his two way play/athletic ability and defense. That wouldnt be a bad draft Mitchell and the Australian kid.
