Dumb fucking shot , knew Randle would brick it .....Got zero closers ,
As good as Randle was in the 1st half. he was that bad in the 2nd. Turnovers, forced shots. etc
F*** Brooklyn and their Comic Sans ass jerseys.
Sucks because we had a chance, but we all knew we were in for a tough ride this final stretch. This is just the beginning. 🤷🏾♂️
Remember how cheesy Orlando's arena was back in the early 90s when they had Shaq and Hardaway? Solid team but pure schlock otherwise. Brooklyn strikes me the same way now.
I'm sure I could be rightfully painted as jealous since the Nets obviously have the better team--they should given their roster. No matter how many games they win they are (and always will be) nothing more than an annoying little brother.
Too bad we couldn't find a player at the deadline to clean up the glass. I guess none were available.
Nets bench is no joke but I thought we were horrible on the boards in 2nd half. Noel with only 5 shouldn’t happen. I noticed a lot of times guys were just ball watching instead of boxing out. Also Randle looked poor in that 2nd half. Wish we ran more sets to get Quickley open looks. 0 3s attempted from him and that’s not good.

Maybe trading for Andre Drummond wasn’t such a retard idea after all

We got slaughtered on the boards this game.

Yeah ! The notorious Net killer would have won the game for us! And his lack of defense in no way shape or form would offset his rebounding. We definitely would not get blown out if Andre the Rebound started for us
Yes, we simply got outworked on the boards tonight. If we had frank to harass Kyrie for at least part of the game, it could have been ours. Then again, we might not have gotten Bullock’s hot hand in the 2nd.
A team that talks a tough talk and then loses to Kyrie+bench is a long way from contention. We need a Cade.

Well, we are screwed then.
Do we lose every close game

Exactly my thoughts. We are in basketball limbo. At least when we sucked, we had dreams of picking a young superstar in the draft, pored over college games and mock drafts, salivated at prospects of adding a free agent savior or two with our massive cap space. Now there is none of that, what you see is what you get. Perfect complement to a mid-life crisis, a beer belly and a six year old Camry wagon in the driveway.
Until Thibs gets off the Payton train this team will be what we are. A 500 team that beats the team we are supposed to beat and tease against the top teams.
I kind of see this series sweep as something like when the Giants met the undefeated Patriots in the Super Bowl. We've shown we can hang with them... and if the ball bounces a little bit differently on even 1 play in these regular season games, we might see a different outcome.
Disappointing... but some saving grace: Destiny seems to want the Knicks to make the playoffs. We're currently in the 8th seed at 25-26, 1.5 games out of 4th place and 1.5 games ahead of 9th place.
* Charlotte (6th seed, 25-24): already down Ball, is going to miss Hayward for a month or so. They're going to have a hard time keeping things going.
* Indiana (9th seed, 22-26): TJ Warren out for season, Sabonis & Brogdon are a little beat up and are showing up on the injury report.
Chicago and Toronto are 3.5 and 4.5 games out of the 8th seed and are both currently falling.
