Fox just signed his max extension. So lets say he pushes his way to the Knicks it could be good for both. Knicks trade IQ/Obi/Mitch + 4 first rounders for Fox (lets say this year's draft and 2023). You could resign Noel, bring back Bullock/Taj and Rose at a discount.
Crew would look like: PG Fox SG RJ SF Bullock PF Randle C Noel Bench: Rose/Taj/Knox
Fox would be a dream target.
I love fox and he'd definitely improve us but we'd really have to bank on RJ and Randle becoming really respectable shooters.

Maybe Julius's duties change a bit...An argument can be made that Julius is the best passer on this team. That won't be the case if Lonzo is here.
I've watched a bunch of Pels games this year and I can tell you that Lonzo is a little bit better at putting the ball on the floor and driving to the basket. He rarely gets all the way to the rim, but he has developed a nice 10 foot pull-up. He's nowhere near elite but he has improved his half court game. And like you said, with Rose here, we will still have an attacking guard. And with Lonzo's size, they can play together at times. Age wise, he fits in perfect with Julius, RJ, Quick and Mitch.

I was thinking the same thing. They already have a ton they have to pay Bledsoe. They are having Zion essentially play point forward. And they invested their first round pick last season on a point guard. I think two things:
1) If the Knicks or any team offer Ball a contract over $15-20M per year, I have a hard time seeing them match it. 2) If they want to entertain a sign and trade, if I'm the Knicks I say kick rocks. Their window to get assets for Ball was before the trade deadline. I'm thinking Griffin's asking price was probably unrealistic. So now he has to lie in the bed he set for himself. If I'm the Knicks, if the Pels can work out a sign and trade with another team that Ball wants to play for, go for it. Otherwise, the Knicks should just force them into a corner and make them make a decision.

The one thing I had been thinking about in terms of sign and trades as well as Knicks cap space is what to do with Alex Burks and how much he is going to ask for. For whatever reason, I just think Bullocks will stay and his contract situation is easier and more manageable with Early Bird rights.
Would the Knicks entertain a trade situation for Ball using any combo of Burks, Knox, low first round pick (or perhaps Detroit's pick ~33)?
Knicks get their PG for 5 years at the contract they/Ball want (without having to over pump it with all sorts of poison pills); NO gets a shooter who (maybe) deserves/wants a 3 year contract to replace the Reddick role they desire, gets a 1 year look at Knox and a pick.
Knicks contain cap space re Burks/Knox while getting PG.

Is he worth a 1st round pick we have this year? will you find a better player in the draft?? Knox? Add a second high 2? What does Nola want? More picks? Way do we have they can help build with Zion? Do they even want to trade Ball???? My take is they match. I’m not going stupid Mooney for him, but.........neither should Nola. What about IQ and our lower 1st this year for ball at a reasonable contract? I’m not thrilled with moving IQ but we thinking Ball is a foundational piece and I don’t know if IQ is beyond our own hype. Any trade for Ball won’t be as cheap as we think/hope. I really hope IM working on that, but then if he is that good he will have suitors. I’d rather burn an asset then pay stupid money for him. We have not even talked about Lavar.

Traded to NO to team with Zion and crapped out least year in the Bubble.
Coaches took ball out of his hands this year.
So broken player or player just never had a chance ala Julius previous to this year? The jump in Ball's shooting stats has been very nice.

I'd say when a coach looks at and thinks to himself "naw, I should try Bledsoe" it's a little bit deeper than. Lonzo's half court issues have been harped on since he was at UCLA. It was a part of his pre-draft scouting report. Can he improve? It's not outside the realm of possibility. How much of a gamble are you willing to make that he will improve? I'd make a solid, calculated gamble. But anything more than $20 million and I'm folding.

that seems about right and on the high side. You are paying hoping for more. I do know he's got a good relationship with Jules so I would expect him to be a good chemistry add.
Not a Ball fan, but I would trust this FO at this point to make the right calls.

It's very possible. Knicks could simply believe Rose is the starter we need, and Quickley, Vildoza, and Burks can all handle the bal off the bench.

Love the video and eurotrash electronica but that the feel good hype we experiencing now might be a bit enthusiastic for this kid. I have watched literally “Minutes of him” and he has yet to miss or have a turn over!!!!! Not since Mozgov have we had such a rush!!! My hope is that Johnny Bryant has broken this down and foaming at the mouth to get this kid in the gym and work with him! I’m hoping he exceeds our play next embarrassed we rip up his contract and pay him more! I’m hoping that Miami Heat fans will post “how come we don’t find these guys anymore!” I’m hoping Brock Aller get plenty of offers for his work but Dolan keeps feeding him more and more to stay! I’m hoping Perry had a good time in Europe and talking to his confidants how good life is not worrying about Steve Mills doing “crazy things” to save his ass!
As for Ball? Free agency can wait! We got games yet to play!!
