he's a phucking stud.

We gotta bring in some more big guns while he's in his rookie deal. I have visions of RJ/Randle pounding you on both sides of the ball for years to come and its making me warm and fuzzy. Someone hold me

Here, I thought the Knicks were drafting a Jimmy Butler clone. Turns out they drafted the next Glen Rice

How stupid do the writers look for not even putting RJ on second team all rookie last year?

Made even more stupid by the fact the player they put on there instead got traded for essentially nothing at this years trade deadline

2019-20
First Team

Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies

Kendrick Nunn, Miami Heat

Brandon Clarke, Memphis Grizzlies

Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans

Eric Paschall, Golden State Warriors

Second Team

Tyler Herro, Miami Heat

Terence Davis II, Toronto Raptors

Coby White, Chicago Bulls

P.J. Washington Jr., Charlotte Hornets

Rui Hachimura, Washington Wizards

I know it's pathetically old school, but I just hate that he stands and does the MJ pose after every three. 60% of those shots aren't falling. Would it throw off the follow-through all that much to just move in there and grab a long rebound once in awhile?

I'm still overly giggly happy that we have him and Bullock killing people along with Randle on the perimeter.

the incremental improvements along with being so coachable really puts RJ in a good light.

feels like his floor is close to max level 2-way bucket getter with his upside being some kind of Jimmy Butler type.

He's an extremely likable kid

Is it a "pose" or just part of his follow through that (apparently) appears to be working? Whether "posing" or not, I don't recall too many people moving in after letting off a 3 pointer to go after long rebounds but I'll start paying more attention. I suspect there not much difference between what RJ is doing and what anyone else shooting 3s is doing who is not "posing."

I honestly don't give a shit what anyone else is doing; following one's shot is only done now in and around the paint. It's the same everywhere. Just the way things are now in big business.

Like I said, I'm still glad RJ's shit's falling at the rate it is.

I was a doubter/ Great to see the kid progress to such a level. All at just 20 years old!! Starting to believe the Mamba Mentality is real and will get him to new heights. Go RJ!!

I think Hanlen said part of the reworking of RJ's shot included changing the positioning of his elbow and the flicking of his wrist. Also, teams don't value offensive rebounds the way they used to. The emphasis is more on transition defense these days.

This is what happens when a team has patience and surrounds its high draft picks with talent and good coaching

Unlike the Jets who did absolutely none of that with Sam Darnold who is about to make them look really stupid
