Tatum is demanding that Boston get him Bradley Beal. And everyone is expendable to that end.
The Knicks could be a 4th team in that kind of deal. My guess is Ainge would ask for RJ Barrett and be willing to give up Jaylen Brown ( including a Walker salary dump) along with other moving pieces. And then flip Barrett for Beal. Again, there would be lots of other moving pieces.
I'm not saying I agree in total or what the third team or the other pieces would be, but I can see a pathway where all the GMs would weigh it out seriously, a small one, but it's there.

So you're saying the Knicks would be involved in that hypothetical megatrade by getting Walker and Brown for RJ to Boston free up cap space for Beal? I don’t think there’s a chance Ainge is going in that direction for more reasons.
First, if Washington trades Beal, it means they are embarking on a new rebuilding so they can take Walker too.
Second, I’m not sure Ainge sees Beal that much better than Brown and it’s hard for me to imagine he would give for Beal everything Washington will be asking for (and what other teams will be willing to give).
Third, when we didn’t do it before, now isn’t the time to take a contract like Kemba's that will greatly reduce our room for maneuver in these seasons while we still have cap space and while we have to do something before our players start getting big contracts.

Any large 3-4 team mega trade in this offseason will automatically start to bring the Knicks into the mix. Big mega trades usually need at least one team with a good chunk of open cap space to make all the salaries work. I'm not saying the Knicks will guarantee to be in such a trade or that it's a good value move for the Knicks, I am saying Leon Rose and Brock Aller's phones will both be ringing when the Bradley Beal sweepstakes kick off.

Kemba is trash. But that Bradley Beal tidbit is weird considering that I’d have Jaylen Brown over him 9/10. One would assume that Wiz would have to taken Kembas deal back but they simply can’t afford to have Russ brown and kemba on one payroll. They might have to pay OKC 2 firsts to take Kemba otherwise I can’t see it

Something to consider is in a 4 team trade, the Knicks can garner assets from THREE DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS AT ONCE. So it's not just what can Boston give to unload Kemba Walker, but also what can the Wizards and also a possible third team as a full combination.
Certain teams need to make big moves or try to make them. To do so, many need to dump salary. To dump salary, they need a team who can absorb salary. Thus the Knicks are instantly on everyone's speed dial.
What would be worthwhile to eat Kemba Walker's contract? Well, my take is guys here can start sweeping both Boston's and the Wizard's asset list and see if they find anything interesting. Never say never, if Danny Ainge calls, the Knicks should hear him out. It's actually Leon Rose and Brock Aller's job to listen and hear other front offices out, even if the odds are low something will happen. Talks might die, but those talks might spark a deal later for different players and picks.
Long story short, before this is all over, Jaylen Brown's name is going to be floated to multiple teams, and Yes, odds are the Knicks will be one of them. You can love it, you can leave it, but that's what's likely to happen as the Beal sweepstakes kick off. regardless of who picks up the phone Knicks should listen but are we so deprived of talent we can give Kemba minutes? Is Jaylen Brown that much better than RJ will be in two years at age 22?
No doubt knicks take calls as they likely do over frequently. I don't have an opinion on Brown. Im too busy enjoying the season. Its possible our game with boston might not have any bearing but I hope it does and we throttle them. ANytime knicks finish over boston is a good season.

Agree with most that are against this. Just too expensive and a huge health risk. You are paying for what he was years ago and not for what he is right now.
