He’s iffy with the raptors
Slot him into sf
Sign one of bullock or burks off bench
No, Briggs. Aside from that Raptors wouldn’t give him for those two picks, but he’s definitely PF and a pretty bad fit alongside Randle.
Thibs has been awesome in developing the players we have. I want to stay the course and let Thibs, Rose, Wes and Perry keep building this wonderful team. It feels like the team from 1999. Payton is the hurdle here. They need to bench that jackass. Put Rose in the starting lineup and watch RJ get to the next level and Obi will flourish.

No on Pascal
Dude he's not that bad (especially coming from a frank fan) and do you really want rose playing 30/36 minutes.

He really is. Coming from a frank fan? Dude they are completely opposite. Rose wouldn't play that much. Burks will be the backup PG

I agree about Rose not starting. Keep him in his role. Just yank Elf the second he starts going for his own. This is the bed we have made. We’re going to have to sleep in it for the rest of the season.
Siakam plays like he would have fit in well on the Bulls, when Thibs was coach. Not for 2 first rounders though. Wont be cheap either.
If we werent battling for the top of the East, late in the regular season. In more of a rebuilding phase, Id use both first rounders.
Seeing how much more competitive the team is, I'd love to see the FO use 2 first rounders to trade up. Get a player who can help us now, and maybe develop into a star down the road. Someone in RJ's timeline. This is the year to be bold.

Only problem is that I personally don't see that much of a difference from 8-20

Guess it all depends where where our picks fall. If we luck out and one of those picks (like the Dallas pick) is higher than expected. Trading up into the top ten might be doable.
Wow 1.7m for pelle
He must be a great practice guy.
Unless he will be included in a trade during the draft I guess we will not be looking at any centers during the draft.
This move is actually very insightful to what they will do during the draft.
Possibly move all 4 picks and trade a guy or two on the roster to move up.
Or just draft wings in the 18-22 range
Or maybe a 4 who they feel can give Randle a rest.
Possible draft night bait
Robinson
Knox
Toppin
Pelle
I’ve reviewed picks 12-20
Not to impressed. Flawed or not better than what we currently have. They can’t even replace the guys we already have in the future.
When it becomes difficult to find players you like to draft it means your team is getting good in my book
If you have to pick someone 12-22 I would go with kispert or Duarte or a PF. But drafting a PF would basically be telling Toppin we think you suck.
Flawed talent who won’t offer us more production than bullock burks iq and rose
I honestly am not even sure they can replace them in 2 years.
Jared butler
Cam Thomas
Davion mitchel
Janes bouknight
If one of these 4 make me eat my words next year it’s because they fixed their flaws or their talent superseded their weaknesses. That’s just luck t know which one will improve. Maybe the combine will give more insight.
Best draft scenario
Draft kispert or Duarte
And
Draft one of the 4 above and hope you get lucky enough to get the ⭐️
If your looking for a good big floor general who can’t shoot Daishon nix could be had with the third pick
If your looking for a center I feel will be as good as pelle or better Charles bassey can be taken with the third pick.

Well, that's the minimum contract for a player who has 2 years in the league. It is much smaller only for rookies.

Of course
It’s not so much the money it’s the symbolism of the deal and how much the organization sees him as a plus to the team.
It also gives insight to our drafting strategy.

No to siakam. Just not the right player, time, location or fit I feel.
Agree with the need for an “upgrade” at the point. If this is not addressed via FA or ST. We have to use the draft for this purpose. My top targets for FA pg acquisition being Lonzo & Brunson. Feels like Kawhi is just a dream...
what is Siakim issue for his decline of play?
Nalod wrote:what is Siakim issue for his decline of play?
League caught up to his Randle-esqe spin moves and he's trying to adjust.

Feel like it gives insight into the protection the Knicks need against Mitch/Noel contract situations.

That also.
Mitch is losing some leverage in negotiations. Unless there is a hand full of teams that have been salivating for him. (Possible)
Guy would be perfect here
