Not surprising Thibs has to see this...Wpuld love to the reasoning behind elf remaining with the first 5...

We're the number one D with Payton starting. Our longest streak in years with Elf starting. He's got his negatives. Not enough to change those numbers.

We are being outscored when he's on the court. How good is his defense? Aint no way you can convince me that our defense will suffer if he's removed from the starting lineup.

Here is my thinking...elf no longer closes gamez (thank God) and Rose has been closing lately. When Rose enters the game at about 4 mins left in the 3rd meaning he has to play 16 straight minutes which is asking a lot. Starting will allow Rose to get his proper rest that will coincide with the opposition.

Payton will be out of the rotation when Burks is back. Just doesn’t make any sense for him to keep getting minutes out there.

Julius keeps the Knicks in 4th, he should be a top 4 for MVP this season. All the other guys in the conversion have All Stars as teammates. His numbers become more impressive by the game.

Yes I could...just dont feel like it! Its just as much about how Rose is thriving off the bench. Quicley and Rose as a tandem. Granted its a work in progress. Believe Thibs reasoning is the first few minutes of the game vs starters could be taxing on someone with knee problems like Rose.
