Our loss to the Hawks keeps looking better and better. These guys might end up playing the Suns in the finals. Their coach must be a magician because the turnaround from that team after he took over is legendary.
The Trae for Luka trade not as horrific as some made it. But Marvin Bagley will always be known as Marvin "Bowie."

Or their last coach was supremely inept. Remember how good Fizdale mad Mike Miller look?

Doing this without deAndre hunter too. Like I said they are youthful and are able to maintain the talent in depth
Make no mistake, Trae Young is the reason. He controls the game and is unstoppable running the pick n roll. He is a much better playmaker than he is given credit for.
People always talk about his scoring but his decision making and passing after the PNR that is his true superstar quality. He rarely makes the wrong decision in those situations. That is the reason why he is unguardable.
Milwaukee got the lead but Trae made it so. Bud played it well. ATL executed.

That, plus the rules which make it so difficult to play meaningful defense. If they do adjust the rules next year, they will win less games.

Portis would've gotten killed on D. There just aren't that many options.
Portis is not a good defender, but the Hawks had Solomon Hill in the game instead of Bogs. Bucks could have gotten away with Portis in. Portis had 8 rebounds in 15 minutes. They just needed one defensive rebound down the stretch and the game would have been over.
Bud was awful in the nets series and almost cost the Bucks the series....If the Bucks continue to play drop-coverage on the pick n roll, Trae is going to pick then apart and the Hawks will be in the finals.
The Suns and the Hawks are young teams that will be forces to contend with for years to come! But the suns have a big CP3 question in the offseason.
Atlanta’s turnaround since the coaching change is stupefying. And man would we love Trae if he were a Knick.

I’d still think he’s douchey. But at least he’d be our douche.
I don’t even like when IQ hunts for bullshit fouls.
Imagine if every player played that way? The game would be 100% unwatchable.

No doubt he is villain worthy with his arrogance. Reggie Miller should be proud! Collins is arrogant also with his antics but if they bring it on the court and having fun I can’t hate on that too much. They don’t seem to whine excessively to refs.
The “incidental contact” thing I’m glad is to be sorted out. Luka and Trae are very good at it as is our IQ.
I admire the fortitude that Bucks core is showing and like to see Jrue Holiday get more spotlight for his career. Giannis is hard to dislike. Thannis really his brother?
Still freaky to think KD toe was the difference. If not Coach Bud might not have had his job when the left the building that night.
Bucks are flawed with slow of food BroPez and Portis still does not know where to go. Capella is a problem for teams.
ATL got clutch. Collins had a great game and a clutch corner three. Young went right at Giannis with a floater and it rimed out but Capella got offensive board. They just are the “It” team in the east for now doing all the right stuff. I’m front running with a Hawks-suns final that is really interesting as both teams are young (not paul). Great PG match ups, Ayton-Capella is a good one, and Booker time to shine on the big stage. Crazy to think Knick fans were thinking “when he wants out”. Ayton ascent has been impressive making PHX looking good.
Hawks have not won since 1958!
Suns never.
Bucks since Jabbar in 1971!
Clippers never.
Outside of the knicks not being here I’m really ok with this final 4 and some fresh dynamics. If Suns advance Paul will be on the big stage making good theatre. Uncle cliff from State Farm creeps me out. Hawks bring a new but unhandsome face to the surface. Hawks win a title and Trae MVP the whole Luka trade takes a whole new twist!
ATL gonna have to pay Nate Mac that and more……….
Good for him!
Is Rick trying to phuck Luca one last time on the way out?
Kidd started his career with Mavs. but one can wonder if there's a hidden joke in there.
Surprised how much he's making from Pacers

Kidd comment seemed odd.
Does the '23 pick from Dallas have protections? Is Emoji Bates in play? Ma

Maybe he had got wind that Kidd was going to be the new coach of the Mavs while he was still coach (remember Kidd turned down the Blazers, so likely he already had this lined up then- was that before Rick left the Mavs?). Maybe Rick then decided to leave, hence the weird way he announced it by sharing a WhatsApp message, and that's what he's inferring about here?

It was evident at the time that ATL went for more assets knowing that Young wasn’t as good as Luka but wasn’t that far off either. It’s proving the case. Luka might be the best young player the NBA has, but atrae is still a franchise player capable of carrying a team to greater heights.
We need to counter program if we want to stay in the fight next season. The Hawks have arrived, the Sixers will go down but still have more talent than us and BKN and MIL will be their strong selves. We need to be aggressive when improving the team.

I think it’s a mix of this and also a young team leveling up as they enjoy the challenges ahead. You can see this ATL team growing closer and leveling up to the challenges with that underdog mentality. They believe in Trae but know that they are more than him. He does too, so he keeps the team together. It’s a really good story for them.
