Please start Payton or Frank. Also start with Noel. These changes have not been effective and have thrown off team chemistry. Don’t go down like that — while we don’t have the same talent —- we need to play how it got us here. Trae young is too good for what we’re offering defensively— and rhythm of the game is way way off. We really got smoked twice with this line up
Our bench had brought us back from death countless times. It was the ace up our sleeve that had won us many games. So with Rose starting it is no longer the case. Once we get down it's nearly impossible to come back. Games 3 and now 4 had shown those exact patterns
I called for this before today’s game. Frank or Payton should start. It’s not that they are great. They absolutely are not but we need to keep more options available off the bench. I’ve known this all season. But many didn’t understand the dynamic of why our team won many games
Whatever Payton or ntlikina brought was always a bonus. When Payton was engaged certain parts of the season he attempted and succeeded at defense sometimes against great players
Guys its a catch 22. We only have 1 good point guard. He can't start and come off the bench. You either have bad starters and instantly give up 10 to 15 pts every game or have no bench. The issue is not if Rose should start or not. The issue is we have a talent deficit. How many playoff teams are having a discussion to bring their best player off the bench?

True
When you don’t have an answer to a superior team...........
Thibs made a good decision but its just not working. Don’t mean it was the wrong decision.
ATL counters and executes.
sometimes you don’t lose, you just bet beat.
I agree in allowing Rose to come off the bench. I would start Frank instead of Payton. Frank may be able to slow Trae Young down, and Frank is a better spot up shooter than Payton. Let the second unit of Rose, Quickley, Burkes, Gibson, and Toppin try to beat their bench.
Should start quickley as a floor spacer. Rose and Burks really change everything off the bench. It’s something to think about for next season.

Possibly yea
I Suspect Luca will win the starting job.
Would be great if he can play well for us
Whatever
What’s the point of changing players’ roles when the strategy and game plan remains flawed? This team hasn’t adjusted to Atlanta’s Game 1 plan, and we are going to Game 5.
If the Knicks had anything in them, if they had the defensive plan and the fight they showed during the season, they would’ve won today. They didn’t. They actually have only shown any good play for a quarter, the one that got them their only win. But they are done. They look nothing like the team that fought hard and adjusted. This series is over.
With all this logic and pessimism the only move that makes sense is to start Frank as the 2 guard along side D Rose as the one. Take the pressure of guarding Trae off of Rose, and let him flourish on offense. It's too taxing being a 2 way player this late in the season. RJ will come back to life, feasting on ATL's second unit. We've tried every thing else. It's time to put our best defensive foot forward.
The problem isn’t starting Rose. The problem is playing Rose 33-40 minutes per game when his body can’t handle it anymore
Rose gets tired on D and our perimeter D falls apart second half

Quickley can fight through screens. Rose can’t. Quickley only got 13 minutes last game he’s been averaging 20 minutes per game this season. Why Thibs left him on the bench I don’t know
