Good. Philly tears is music to my ears :)

He's very skilled but also the refs don't allow you to defend him
That is my point. Take out Seth Curry and let George Hill abuse Trey in the post. How freakin' hard is it to figure that out? Doc Rivers, hello!
You do not defend Trey, you exploit him as a defensive liability himself. Making him work harder defensively slows him down by wearing him out, plus puts points on the board for your team.
Easier said than done. I agree, but I think we can also agree that Doc and Thibs will eventually be HOF coaches or close to.
Why have neither tried? Perhaps I’ve missed it. I know I did see RJ defended by Trae and he did nothing -maybe turned it over
Zone defense. C’mon guys, you really think you smarter than those two?
It's easy right! I agree, thibs, rivers both HOF coaches- yet, I did not really see anything about trying to attack him on defense. I don't care about zone - there is a way to switch him onto a player you should be confident can exploit his size.
Like I said, during one of our games, RJ had Trae on him. Did he try to post up? Attack? no- he played small. If I'm the coach - I say look, I can't stand this midget. He gets every call. And if we have a chance to attack him, if one of my strong offensive players has him on him, attack, clear out, get the ball to the player, attack quickly, if they double, swing to the open man.
Look, I didn't watch much of our games because it was too depressing. Maybe they did try.
Series from from over. Atlanta punched them today but philly looked darn good coming back— think it’s gonna follow through. Trae real good but embiid ( if healthy) still best player
Atlanta beating teams w quality depth

Whenever I hear about zone defense, it is always something that is mega-effective against us. Why don't we ever play it to turn the tables?
I am no expert, but Atlanta's defense looked a lot more suffocating than ours in our series. No shooting space, no driving lanes, and at least two Atlanta players in the face of whoever was holding the ball on our end, somehow able to rotate almost instantly to cover their guy.

I hate both teams. It’s a win win for me because one has to lose

And still, for as bad as we played, I don't feel like we looked as bad as Philly did.

Now that some time has passed I feel more positive about the season. We were supposed to be the worst team in the nba and instead made the playoffs
I hate both the 76ers and Hawks equally

Wait, what happened to those that were saying we suck, Thibs sucks, only Frank could have stopped Trae and that the Sixers were going to show us how it's done?
I don’t know how i feel watching the Hawks down 17, and then storming back and the 76ers choking.
But, it does make me feel better we lost, but also shows how far we are from being able to contend next year.

Yep, I wonder if those posters now feel that maybe they slightly over reacted now.
The Hawks are clearly more talented than the Knicks. I question how I thought we had a chance. Reality is we were a .500 team that won 41 games because we overplayed our key players. We are still so far away from being able to compete with these teams. Where is that elite offensive player going to come from. Its doubtful its coming in free agency.

I look at it this way. The overall roster talent differential is not really that far off. The major difference is PG. We are essentially one high level PG away. Put Trae or Kyrie on the Knicks - then how does the team match up? Obviously those players are not coming here - but the point still stands - high level to elite point guard play is the key and should be the focus.

A bit more than that I’m afraid. Look at guys like Bogi/Hunter/Lou/Gallo/Capela and compare that to Burks/Bullock/Quickly/Obi/Noel. Our guys are solid but Hawks players are pretty good at multiple things we are just a bit too 1 dimensional.

I'm not so sure - taking this year's roster (aside from obvious significant starting PG differential)........
- Capella would be compared to Mitch. With both healthy - probably even if Mitch would be playing with a stud PG who drew constant double teams like Trae.
- Bogi pairs up vs RJ - advantage Knicks
- Collins vs. Randle - advantage Knicks
- Hunter vs. Bullock - probably go with a toss up here as both excel on D.
- Lou vs. Rose - close but would go with Knicks based on how well and the overall role Rose played
- Gallo vs. Obi - currently significant advantage Hawks
- Huerter vs. IQ - right now adv. Hawks but IQ is a wait and see
- other rotation guys - Reddish, Hill, Okungwu vs. Burks, Noel, Gibson.....Hawks have younger longer term potential here but currently a toss up

Trae vs Payton(Trae)
Bogi vs RJ(Bogi--RJ will be the better player, but Bogi can shoot way better off the dribble and the better finisher)
Hunter vs Bullock( Hunter--Bullock has better D and better shot, but again Hunter is a far better overall scorer with better efficiency)
Collins vs Randle(Randle)
Capela vs Noel or Mitch(Capela--easily too, cmon, Noel has better timing on blocks but Capela is far better at other aspects of game)
Lou vs Rose(Rose)
Huerter vs IQ(Huerter)
Hill vs Burks(Burks)
Gallo vs Obi (Gallo)
Okongwu vs Gibson(Gibson)
We had a comparable bench but our starters outside of Randle aren't really comparable in any way.
Philly about to go fishing along with us if they can't hit free throws. Ben Simmons is scared to have the ball come back to him cause he doesn't want to go to the free throw line. He missed 10 free throws!

We had no answer for Trae, and neither does the sixers.

One answer would've been not having your starting pg go 4-14 from the free throw line and your franchise player not missing two huge free throws at the end of the game.
I don’t thjnk the players like Doc Rivers. They weren’t playing hard for him.
