We take him at #19 or 21 I am good.
You guys are doing a good job of selling me on this guy. Might be worth a shot. We really need a engine pg.
Horrible defender and created too much turnovers. NO THANKS I look into Jared Butler from the championship Baylor team..

Hmmm I need proof but that’s encouraging

I still prefer Butler way more than Cooper too but we need to be sure that Butler can actually safely have a career first

what about Butler says "NBA" ?
He looks a lot like a Chris Duhon or Frank Mason Jr type... really good college players dont always make really good NBA players. There are exceptions but Butler looks like a role player at best in the NBA. Backup PG and who's a good shooter.

I don't expect Butler to be a world beater in the league but at least I know what I'm getting. He's one of the best shooters in the draft who can get his shot off in almost every way(Pullup, step back, coming off screens) and its proven over two seasons with 2.6 makes per game shooting 38 percent on average with 51% on catch and shoot attempts. Thats near elite and that will 100% translate at the next level. Imagine Randle drive and kicks but instead of Rose and Payton, you have Butler in the corner?
Furthermore, he's a very underrated passer who makes very good reads out of the PnR. He's not as savvy as Giddey/Cooper but that shouldn't take anything away from him. If he is on our roster he'd instantly be our best passer and its not even close. Unlike Cooper, teams are forced to respect his shot which would make him the bigger threat. On top of that, he's a good defender.
I don't think Butler becomes anything more than a better Malcolm Brogdon type, but at the very least I know 100% what I'm getting with Butler. I can't say the same about Cooper.

I'm a Butler fan, but he needs to put aside as a prospect until he gets medically cleared.
For what it’s worth: the awkward lean in his shot seems gone and he actually does look an inch taller
If the Knicks want him we can have him.
If he could just shoot close to 35 percent from 3 and not be to much of a liability defensively he looks the part of the modern day engine pg.
Kinda short though. Is that 6-2 with the hair lol?
6 ft maybe I bet

Tgis is an intriguing player. To possibly get a high level pg all the way down at 19-21 would be a coup. My biggest concerns with him is defense shooting and legit height. But we have time to give him a hard look . If he’s legit he has to be high level consideration. I was hoping to get taller players but trae young abd chris paul are 6 feet tall

Yea we saw what a 6ft guy did to us this year 😅
Question is wouldn’t Davion Mitchell be better? If we come across tray young often in the future which will be the case we would have a dog defensively his height and speed to get in his face. 😅
You might say we need Mitchell just for tray young.
The bonus is mitchell can also play and score.
The danger is Mitchell could be just a solid nba pg or backup while cooper could turn into a star.. who knows
Height scares me not gonne lie ...But he has a ton of potential and the great reviews of his workout, I have him as a dark horse pick .......
Tre Mann
Ayo Dosunmu
Chris Duarte
Corey Kispert
Trey Murphy
Dark horses :
James Bouknight
Sharife Cooper
Removed Jared Butler because of the health concerns .

They say he actually measured as 6-3 without shoes

No, that was typo. I think the revised measurements arena little over 6 feet.

huh, and it's also suspicious that he didn't officially get measured via NBA?

If that is the case, then he would be undersized but he shot the ball well at the combine. I trust the Knicks scouts on his potential but he seems like someone we would target with the 32nd pick

Hahaha...it was there two days ago. Combine works are still working off their Covid vacation. But yeah, his measurements were nearly identical to James Bouknight. Clearly an error.
