Rose changed the dynamics of this team from losing to winning. I’d lock him for two years 15 mm
Burcks if he can stay healthy is a top 6 player on this team and potential 6 th man of the year type who if needed can also start. I’m hoping 3 years 21 million will be fair.
The big guys are a wait and see. Gibson as a third or fourth big yes for the vet min.
But we need to put some cash into Burks and rose.
I agree that Rose and Burks are the 2 I want to re-sign most. Bullock is too streaky and 1 dimensional. I won't mind him off the bench but it also depends on how much he would cost.
I’m honestly so torn between Bullock and Burks. Bullock was the heart of the defense and wins seems to come our way when his shooting was on. Burks took over games when needed and provides shot creation on the wing that is pretty hard to come by. We also can’t just bring back both if we want to get better. We have the money and need upgrades somewhere. It’s a tough situation that will need to just play itself out.

That’s why I want Duarte. I really believe he’s plug and play. He has more overall skills and will be cost controlled at cheap pay
If its between Burks & Bullock , I'd rather bring back Burks. I also agree on Rose if its cheap , if we manage his minutes right he can kill other teams second units + he can mentor and is a vet presence .
Rose might be great on a one year balloon payment deal. A lot of people are underrating how much better the Knicks became once he got here.
We can bring back the whole crew, Rose, Bullock0, Burks, Noel, and yes, Even Frank and still have about 20 million to get a starting PG.

I agree about Duarte completely. He’s an NBA ready rotation wing. He’s a priority even if we have to use 19 and 32 to trade up a few spots. To me if we can’t get Bouknight by combining picks than Duarte is ideal. He gets knocked for his age but will be a better player in his prime than half the guys drafted ahead of him.
All three- Rose, Burks & Bullock outperformed their money and I’d also argue, likely what we can expect again from them next year or seasons after. I agree on bringing Rose back on a fair $#.
But we have to find the next guys out there that can come in and have solid years. I think we can find replacements for Burks & Bullocks, so unless they are coming back on MLE or vet min type deals, we should pass.
I think a bunch of our guys will play better next year. And it’s clear they have great chemistry.
Bring ‘em all back plus a playmaking point guard.
Also looking forward to the league clamping down some on the herky-jerk bullshit calls. Let guys play defense!
Our playoff run was awful, but can’t wait for next season!
If Knicks land a premier pg then no reason to bring back Rose. As for Burks, he is a role player and you can find another one who can shoot just like him for cheaper. Good bye to Bullock.. He has no handle, makes dumb mistakes at times during critical part of the game and he got toasted by trae young.. Good Bye Noel.. He cant cover big guys like Embiid, Capella or Brooke Lopez. MitchRob coming back at 275 pds and 7'0..
Rose and Burks I’d only bring back on 1 year deals

If the goal is to chase a big FA in 2022, Longterm MLE money is too much.
My thinking on this is to bring back Rose and Bullock. I think Bullock might be cheaper and I think Quickley can step into the role that Burke’s filled. I don’t know that Burke’s worked as well with Randle and I want Quickley to get 25 minutes a game next year. Plus, Bullock can play both SG and SF.
So Randle, Bullock, and Payton all share the same agent...
I get a bad vibe about this.

IMHO, let them both explore the market and see what they can get. Then decide to give the same offer or one a little better or not. Or just let them walk.
I'm happy Rose changed his mentality and his perspective and humbled himself to accept he's no longer an MVP and a franchise player. But he didn't do that in his first Knicks run. He just upped and decided to skip a game. So, sorry to say it, Rose should never get more than a one year deal offered period by the Knicks. Or a 1+1 with a team option year with a small buyout. Honestly I wouldn't even give him the latter. He did play well for the Knicks this past season, but I got a long ass memory about bullshit like skipping games. He also had periods where he coasted a lot in his first Knicks stint.
I'm glad when people change. But everyone has to pay for their sins. And if you get a reputation as a franchise that won't enforce that, then you look like a total mark. Some shit, you don't forgive.

I'm thinking that if the Randle/Bullock relationship is that tight then Bullock (maybe even Payton) will get signed before Burks. Personally I think Burks adds more value assuming a SF is signed/traded in.
Rose sounded uncertain about his possible resigning. Knicks will be signing *somebody* AND drafting *somebody* at PG. Add the Argentinian and I can't count Rose minutes.
Once again, I agree with you about Rose's bipolar history with the Knicks. He (and his buddy Noah) absolutely back-stabbed Phil and the coaching staff with their indifference and unprofessionalism.
Nice that he's warm and fuzzy with Thibs but in NY, things change in a NY minute. 1 year tops.

Sort of explains why Payton started so much. Still worrisome overall.

Do you really believe that?
The notion of a player taking less money as a favor his agent and his other clients never made sense to me.
This is a bit of a stretch as well.
The CAA thing never really worked out either. Why would rose benefit CAA clients over knicks best interests now?
I know media loved to stretch that but it never really added up either in reality or conceptually.
