Sounds like Perry was heavily credited with bringing in Jules (great phucking job!)

Also wanted to bring in Rozier in the same offseason, which also would have turned out to be a sweet deal even at the number the Hornets gave him (which seemed like a gross overpay at the time)
That's why i always say, winning changes everything, everybody looks good when you're winning, and everybody looks bad when your not.

LOL. Didn't you predict he would be jettisoned by Rose? With all the Perry bashing you've done along the way, can you at least stay true to yourself?

Gustav missed the end of year and playoffs posting here, I've reached out and haven't heard back. I hope he is doing OK.

yup, I wanted him gone, the same way a bunch of you who wanted RANDLE gone, but once you start winning, Randle doesn't seem so bad, and perry doesn't seem so bad for acquiring him.
A lot of times it comes down to who you surround yourself with that makes all the difference.
You hang out with Broke ppl, you usually end up broke, hang out with rich wealthy ppl, chances are you'll end up like them.
Perry under mills and his crew was a bad look, Everybody sucked around randle in his first season, nobody (who got PT)sucked around Randle in his 2nd season

I thought about him the other day....Is there a way to change/update my email address on the site? I no longer use the email that I signed up with and do not remember the password.

You think nothing changes until it changes then you say it changed because we won. You suck at this.
Others say you change the decision process you change the outcome. They don’t suck at this.
Glad he got extended. I could say it makes you look bad but really you don’t need me to say this anymore. Your developing your own following. You hang out here with mostly smart fans but do little to distinguish yourself.
Perry is well respected and hiring good people and changing up things often brings results. Not the other way around.

Perry is needed to get to Chris Gaston, who is De'Aaron Fox's agent.
Knicks will eventually make a run on Fox.
The Knicks had a great season and in would have been acceptable to use this as an opportunity to add a flashier name to the front office, instead Rose and Dolan stuck with Perry.
I'm not sure about the timing, but at least one thing is for sure- they had a chance to get a fresh executive examine their off season plan and chose they felt good with it as is.
Can’t we all just get along?

The more I think about it, I'm not sure what his role is in the FO. Yeah is a cool respected guy around the League, but apparently he hasn't been able to convince a star to come to NY, and is he going to convince Leon and THIBS to give Elf another shot?
The knicks recent success hinged a lot on Thibs and his Coaching staff who Leon and Wes hand picked.
This would be the 2nd off season with a BOAT LOAD of Cap and draft picks, you should at least be able to build a Eastern Conference Contender..
God I'm sick of the get a star crap. More so from media than guileless posters. Three of the last four teams standing in this year's playoffs were not built that way. I am trusting (for now) our current FO of which Perry is a big part are seeing the way to go is building from the ground up, acquiring assets and maintaining flexibility. Then hopefully drafting smart, making solid trades and/or FA signings, then coaching up. If a big name falls within that philosophy then fine.

The more you think about it the dumber you come off. YOu don’t know his role? Ok,, then don’t assume a thing otherwise you demonstrate pure ignorance. Your benchmark is the knicks ability to land a star. You don’t know who why, or how but you landed this on his shoulders.
All you need to know is he is part of a front office that is doing well since coming together. Leon picked him because he just bought him back. Thats now part of Leon’s group.
WTF is the thing about ELF? Now you have clearly put all of the knicks future on his shoulders as GM when you just said you don’t know what he does.
BTW, Knicks finished with 4 seed with Elf as the staring PG.
All you need to know is Leon is the president, Perry is the GM, Zannic Assistant GM, WWW is special advisor, Brock Aller is some Cap guru financial guy and Thibs coaches the players given to him.
That is “KNICKS”. Not the Perry guys vs. the Leon guys, or any fabricated stupidity you muster. A collective effort by a FO, coaches and players.
You have a take. Thats your prerogative. You hung it up to be discussed. We are. Its a freaking dumb as spit. Nothing personal. Not attacking you. Attacking your post.

Starphuch worked for Lakers. Then not.
Bucks are not the darling of media.
Suns were up 2-0 some well known analysts were talking dynasty.
Bucks, like the Raptors two years earlier have been contending and as fast as it could have gone wrong for them it righted itself and they were fortuitous to pull it off. Shyt has to come together and it did.
Good for them! There are many times the best team does not win for a host of reasons but if your the last one standing you earned a chip and I’m not taking a thing away from them. NBA he a few feel good stories this year and as said it was refreshing!
Next year it might revert to the Nets, Lakers, Nuggets, or Perhaps PHilly. The narrative by media goes with the hot dot.
Remember, Dolan drives the direction of the team. Many times its the owner who drives the direction of the team. If knicks are to starphuch it’s Leon and co. Job to get assets and cap space to make it work. Not just Perry or Leon that decides the direction of the team. Its the owner 9 times out of 10. If team is patient and developing its the owner that has to agree to take the financial hit of a losing team. Tank? Owner decides. Go all in? Owner eats taxes.

Dolan deserves a lot of credit for once not listening to the ignorant clowns on ESPN and instead standing pat and being willing to build the right way through the draft.
And this is without Silver doing us any favors. During this rebuild which started 3 years ago we have had 1 top 3 pick. The rest of the roster is mid to late first round picks, second round picks, mid level free agents and castoffs nobody else wanted.
Dolan did the right thing and was patient. The man deserves kudos

ITs a nice thought but we are far from out of the woods and other than only IQ stands as a rotation guy at this point. I like OBI but he has to prove himself.
That we were fortunate to have the RJ pick was a no brainer to get him but at least we did not get cute and trade down or out.
Over all I like the direction and opportunity we have. Truth is While Phil and Mills did little great they did not do anything awful. We all hate Noah’s 6mm payoff but it did not kill us.
That we recovered from the KP betrayal and the Fiz Folly as we did regardless of the cast of FO demonstrates constraint on Dolan and a bit of a longer term vision.

What exactly did ESPN say that Dolan ignored?
We haven't traded a 1st round pick in 5 yrs, think the last one was in the Bargiani trade
Other than RJ and IQ, the picks have been nothing to write home about.
ESPN clowns have responded to the wining with love. Knicks press has been good.
