Not really. Hard for a team to sign two first-rounders. Unless a total rebuild. They may also be targeting a kid that they thought would be there at 25. Think they were right. Thomas, Cooper, and Butler are still solid players and it can be argued that they are not worse than those taken 15 to 21.

Future first rounders are helpful in trades including ones moving salary. Anyway, I think there is definitely a long game here.
