Ooh. Didn't Grimes already take #8...

$8M per for 2 years and he only has to play like 24 minutes with Rose as back up. Perfect situation for both Kemba and Rose and their playing styles match each other.
this is 10x better than chasing Dennis who would likely sulk
i agree 100% reduced minutes would help both kemba and rose. full disclosure: his best years are probably behind him and his fg% has never been good. that said he gets more rebounds than you would expect for a smaller guard, and the opponent has to truly guard him
if he comes in embracing the notion he might be the third or fourth option and is all about winning this might be the best signing we've had (value wise) since???? (Rose last year?)
made my day
it's going to be a lot tougher to double team Julius with Kemba and EF on the floor, than Elf and Bullock
I don't think the Kemba buyout happens if OKC didn't take a leap and draft Josh Giddy.
What a turn for the Knicks
OK but how does Theo Pinson still get his contract?
one other thought on how this benefits the Knicks: Atlanta was extremely clever guarding Julius for stretches with bogdonavich who would disrupt Julius's ability to dribble; they also used BB against Rose trying to disrupt his game w/ BB's size. I don't think they can play that trick with this crew because they'll be a huge mismatch someplace else as literally everyone other than our center can dribble, create their own shot or for others.

It's usually the guy guarding mitch or noel that doubles Randle
martin wrote:OK but how does Theo Pinson still get his contract?
maybe some form of coaching assignment
He can also be an asset in a Dame trade

not if he's already guarded with a big. not sure what you're watching or if you just like to make stuff up

Ehhhhjj.....let's not get to crazy. He's an upgrade over Elf tho.

Do the Knicks really need Sims? Sorry Briggs, but some signings come first...
Nice! Now the PG rotation makes sense. Kemba can start and have his minutes managed while Rose remains the super sub. This gives the youngsters less pressure to perform out of the gate, but Im curious how the final roster will be worked out.
PG- Kemba, Rose, Vildoza, Deuce
SG- Barret, IQ, Grimes
SF- Fournier, Burks
PF- Randle, Toppin, Knox
C- Mitch, Noel, Taj (Sims 2-way)
Well, I guess we are set at 15 players right now.

All of the Knicks moves are great but I wouldn't put it past the FO to push heavy for Dame during the season and hopefully Dame does the same.

Sims will be a two-way so we are cool there.

I got
Mitch/Noel/Taj
Randle/Obi/Knox
Fournier/Burks/Grimes
RJ/IQ
Kemba/Rose/Vildoza
Theo Pinson - 15th man
McBride, Simms 2WP
Sims - Dleague
Rokas - stash in Euro
The good news: Kemba Walker. The better news: The end of Elf.
And we get to contribute to rival's unending misery.

Yeah, I agree with that. I'm just hesitant to see Kemba as an asset in a Dame trade. Let's get 20 quality minute for at least half the season first.
