Trade assets for D. Fox, PG, from Sac. Thoughts? I don't think Sac would do it, but I think that the knicks have interest.

I think the Kings will do some sort of trade this offseason- maybe they're trying to work something out with the Sixers for Simmons (maybe for Fox), and if that falls through I could see them doing a trade for KP (maybe for something like Hield and Bagely or whatever)

Knixkik @ 8/9/2021 7:46 AM
I think the Knicks are set at PG and have loftier goals of Zion, d Mitchell or Doncic.

I think that is what fans think. Knicks IF RJ continues to be a stud becomes either our stud and internal starphuch or is centerpiece for an even bigger stud.
Team is doing what it should: "Win now but leave options open if and when opportunity knocks". We are just a year into this FO and RJ has yet to reach his peak.
Perhaps he is the one and we need not look at greener grass.
Randles Contract is very movable now. Not saying we should, but its on the table.
His player option gives him leverage for an extension down the road.

He’s under valued for sure and the Kings may want a few young pieces now that they have Mitchell and Haliburton.

IQ, Knox, Obi, 3 first round picks likely doesn’t get it done. But some combination would be interesting. I would be asking for Mitch in that package as well if I’m them. They certainly need a reset snd no reason spending the money if your missing the playoffs.

Bro, that is 6 to 7 firsts/first quality for Fox. that is a KG level type trade.
Nalod @ 8/9/2021 1:13 PM
Fox , Sexton? I doubt either.

No doubt Zion will want to reunite with RJ in 1-2 years. By then, Randle’s new contract has 2-3 years left on it at not crazy money so a trade is possible

Knox has zero value right now. Obi’s trade value has taken a hit tho undeservedly. The next Mavs pick is top 10 protected and we are likely at least a play in team next season so there’s only one possible one lottery pick Charlotte and they probably also are making the playoffs

Maybe if Kemba is healthy and plays excellent we can dangle him as bait next February for Fox

These threads are much more fun if you break out the realgm trade checker, ESPN trade machine, spotrac team manager, or just give some parameters. Yes, D. Fox is great. Trading a second round pick for him would be awesome. SAC isn't going to do that and the salaries won't match. In sum, what's a realistic trade scenario that works for everyone?

The Knicks wanted Fox when we traded Porzingis too, but the Kings didn’t even want to hear about it. Of course we want him now, but I don’t think anyone here would like what they expect to get for him.

I can see them moving one of Fox, Haliburton or Mitchell but I don’t see them discounting any of these players just because they have depth.

“No doubt Zion and RJ”………..
I’m sure they wouldn’t mind, but at the end of the day or year of college together is not the end all for these guys. Zion gonna risk his money to be he fist top rook to NOT take a deal?
Nola can trade him anywhere. They will want RJ?
Let’s turn the table here, what about trading RJ to Nola for a premium because they want to keep Zion?
I’m not advocating this, I like RJ a lot.
Dont’ want to gut my roster for Zion who I don’t see making it past age 30 with that beefy body. Im just projecting.

Sacramento is trying to get a star player and not trade one

But I agree we are stacking assets in order to trade for a star. We have the initial requirements

Starter-Fournier
Team friendly deal-Burks or Noel
Lottery pick on a rookie deal with potential- Barrett or toppin
Picks-multiple firsts and second

Sac owner needs to hand with Dolan and hear his confessionals. I don’t know what they are doing over there but seem to not be getting it right this off season. Bagley and Fox are not getting it done. D’Aaron is a bit of a John Wall type (both UK!) which is fun to watch but not translating. Him and Heild are a nice pair but they keep drafting guards? I get they are trying to trade in some fashion.

This is very key. I approve translating our cap space into contracts that are tradable. Good stuff
