Knicks · Knicks and Nets will need to get COVID-19 vaccine to play at home (page 1)

I guess this is no longer an option for people, it's either you get it or your liable to be looking for a new job (which is definitely the case for me personally)

This will be a crazy ass season if all the arenas take this approach, and some players are dead set on not getting it

Your employer is mandating you get vaxxed or your job is no longer available to you? Do you work in Healthcare? For a city/state?
Do you refuse the Vax for medical issues? Religious exemption?

Hope all our players got vaccinated anyways (for non-basketball reasons), but could get very messy for us or the Nets or Warriors of any players are very anti vaccination.

Certainly adds a new wrinkle at the trade deadline if we decide to be buyers.

I have this premonition that Kyrie "the flat Earther" might be antivax. I wonder who else...

It’s just amazing that some of them are and that anyone is. Chris Paul I believe is not vaccinated. Basically anyone who says ‘HIPA’ when asked isn’t vaccinated.

I have a trade show for work and they just sent out an email- they’re looking for proof of vaccination or a negative covid test 72 hours before. And they’re asking everyone to mask up on the trade show floor unless your actively eating or drinking.

Guess who will be walking the show with a beer all day

The new law has a out for a documented medical or religious exemption.

So sick of these idiots refusing a free vaccine that works has no side effects and saves lives

First thing that came to mind. The Nets

Is he? Was that before he was out before the play off series with covid or after? Again, you get these athletes that get asked if they got the vaccine, and rather than a simple yes, you get this stupid wavering answer about hipa and other nonesense.

OR in otherwords ‘None of our business”? Do they owe us every detail of their bodies? SPorts related injuires aside, is it really for us to know?
BTW, Im a very pro vaxx person but understand the privacy issue. We don’t talk about who is or not at work.
At the same time my company asked us to declaire (voluntarily) our vaxx status but my thought is there will be some health insurance increases for those who are not. That might seem unfair to the unvaxxed but this is not some freedom thing, its actuarial math thing. Vaxxed folk get sick its not as expensive. While you can’t charge more, you can give discounts. LOL. Like smoking, its a lifestyle choice.
As for Judging Kyrie, well, lets just see what happens.
As for Judging Kyrie, from what I have read fans are harsh on him. HIs only issue is taking time off which I agree is bad. Why? None of our fucking business. I don’t pay his salary.

He got the vaccine before he got covid during the playoffs. I am not aware of how sick he was but he couldn’t have been that bad because he came back fairly quick it seems.

I don’t remember where I heard or read it from but the person said he definitely got the vaccine.

It was shortly after - i guess he got word out through like a Stephen A. I missed that at the time.

I don’t see how any pro athlete can not be vaccinated unless they have had a reaction to others. When they shut down the NBA, I remember reading about the math how with the schedule, the entire league would have been 1 touch point away in only a short 3-5 games.

And I think my business has a right to know- if I am expected to travel for work, then they need to know I can be available to do so. I’m usually very pro worker, but this is public health 101 and a novel disease that kills and maims.

Any updates on any of our players refusing the vaccine? RJ seems way too intelligent to do something that stupid. Ditto for Randle

Ofcourse Kyrie is refusing the vaccine

why is not vaccinating Stupid, especially when this is new territory for everyone involved. there is tons of unanswered questions that even the CDC can't answer as of yet

I had covid and didn't have a single symptom, not one... i took 2 test at CVS 3 days apart, and both came back positive, i waited and waited for the symptoms to come and nothing...I also was around my GF and the kids ages 14-20 (she is vaccinated, but not the kids), and not one of them caught it either..

It's like some can smoke all there life and never catch any kind of cancer, and someone thats never smoked a day in their life die from lung cancer..

you see a guy take 5 bullets and live to tell about it, and you see the next guy take one bullet in the same spot and die on the spot.

were all different ppl

It’s not always stupid to not take the vaccine. However, you know full well that A LOT of people not taking it are walking around with no masks and not social distancing while protesting that their kids shouldn’t have to wear masks in schools. THAT is stupid.

Therefore, you have no choice but to make the mandate.
