These standoffs usually get resolved at some point, but I think FuboTV is an option.

Fubo is my step 1 plan. They have a weeks trial so I will find out soon enough if it’s viable
BRIGGS wrote:The great person who could help me out of this 1 is crushalot. He knew every avenue to watch da knicks.
Thanks Mr Dolan for not finding a reasonable way to bring the fans their games.
So now on to the next step NO I cant get league pass and now the MSG app from Comcast is gonzo---how about satellite dish for anyone that gets 1? Im not fcn around either Ill spend$$$$ whatever so money isnt an issue.
BRIGGS, you can use a VPN to spoof your location so that you'll be able to stream Knicks games. I believe the new iPhones also have location concealment built-in iirc. Either way, a VPN is cheap and solves the blackout probs afaik.
MSG don't care bout the world are in a PANDEMIC, where large groups of people are being mandated to have a Covid-19 vaccine shot. And not caring bout the millions of Knicks fans that live out of state.
Dolan and his $$$$$$$$$$ come first !!!

They could’ve done a 1 year “friendly” deal. Ok we’ll go with Comcast this year and as the Knicks improve so does our bargaining power.
Comcast and cable is being disrupted.. This has little to do with Dolan and his greed, this is about inflation and reality.
Comcast sees pressure to keep rates low and picked and choose its battle. I cut the cord with youtube and can see doing it again as prices keep going up. I want a platform I can build out. So many channels I pay and don’t care for. Its going to happen. An app would be a great idea but its a risky proposition and stand alone would be expensive unless you can do it with others. Flipping channels becomes a thing of the past.
BTW, Dolan was smart to sell cablevison when he did.
What’s up guys. Longtime follower but never contributed. I cut off cable for the past 2 years because of the ridiculous prices that would go up for local sports. I now go to streameast.live and watch the games. I haven’t missed any knicks games since. After you click on the game you want a new pop up window will show. Just close that and go back to original window and click play again. It should start streaming. It works on my iPhone and my laptop.
I’ve got it down. Getting game
I'll say this, living in a country where copyright laws and IP aren't stringently enforced results in a much inferior quality of media. Eventually I imagine the media industry will move to a pay as you go system- similar to how most good writers have moved to substack or the Athletic and other portals with pay walls. I have actually talked with a bunch of people about your predicament. The whole saga about commuting between homes to watch games and now having the money but not option to pay. You are not alone. I'm assuming that for lack of better options you are now forced to do the least NBA friendly option, streaming from a 3rd party website. It's their loss, not yours.
@Briggs- How did FubuTV workout? I was a bit too busy this week and missed the game.

I have atleast Fubo(I tried the 7 day) but 2-3 different other avenues worked too. Fubo was good
I use FuboTV full time and like it

I have both Comcast and Fios available and was planning to switch back to Comcast from Fios.
After their decision to drop MSG I will stay with Fios. Also with the streaming price tag for Knicks/Rangers now the price for Fios make sense as no way I get Internet and Knicks/Rangers for same price and my wife will keep all her cable channels.
So Comcast lost a customer ans I am not the only one.

I use the nbatv app. I highly recommend it if you don’t live in the NY area. I was able to watch knicks games in Europe last season no problem

It’s unfair these pro teams are asking for so much from the consumer. At some point it will backfire. Keep it reasonable so all sides sustain. Long term this will hurt the Knicks and Nba.
The crazy part for some is even if I could afford 1 k a month to watch Knicks forget 30$ a month or 200 whatever the f. I don’t have that option. I can’t spend my way into viewership.
Dude just get league pass and it gives the option packages then you can stream anywhere any time

isn't the area part of a local blackout? Even if he can't get games any other way?
I believe so. MSG needs a standalone app. Might have to fill in the gap with an illegal stream or invest in a VPN.
MSG has the MSG Go app but you need a cable tv subscription first
PM me. I know a site you can watch any sporting event in the world for free. It’s not the greatest service but if you live in the NY area and can’t get the nba app it’s an option
BRIGGS wrote:Its possible with Fubo. Theres a 7 day free trial Ill wait until we have an exhibition game and run the trial.
Don’t you have to give a credit card number for that?
I have directv so not a problem
IF you have a choice between FIOS and cable you should go FIOS all day- the internet is way more reliable and FIOS TV interface is really nice. Pretty sure you can get on the phone and negotiate a nice deal for yourself as well.
