Hes just unreal what he can still do. We can accept injury--but the guy I fear to get hurt is him.

This was evident when he returned mid season, 10 days into his 2nd knick career. Just look at our record last year before and after he came.

But as we've seen in the playoffs, you have to treat him like an old luxury sports car. It can still run with the big boys, but only in small spurts. Rose is on a perfect team this year, where he will not be needed or used like he was during the season and playoffs.

Rose is still a good player but Thibbs has got to do a better job managing minutes this season. Rose cannot play 30 minutes a game for a full season.

Him and Kemba both. If you look at their history, I think you can plan they each should be able to give you about 40% of available PG minutes. Meaning over the course of a season, you have to have someone to step in for the remainder. Hopefully, we don’t have both go down at the same time.

But I agree with Briggs- and maybe I would say Rose is the MVP of this squad. Looking at what he did last year, from the bench, he changed everything.

Maybe he has a little Michael Jordan in him, just hates to lose and gets guys in the right frame of mind.

Rose is definetly our “old” sports car. We have to keep him physically ready to go against these new model sports cars lol

We need Robinson healthy for the playoffs. No rush here. We need him in the playoffs.

Or Robinson or Noel could be traded if sims fundamentals improve.

They really need to get Mcbride involved. Even if he only plays 10 minutes a game. If they stay healthy this team can do some damage. I know its Thibs MO to go 100% every game but we need to preserve Rose and Kemba for the playoffs

Quite frankly, I think IQ is the 3rd PG on the team, and I didn't expect him to be able to step into that role for another year but he is showing signs that he can for spurts off bench.

this and IQ the PG is looking better than IQ the SG. Summer league really helped. He's taking better shots and driving more looking for guys. I am really excited to see he and Obi clearly took steps forward. I have really like IQ's defense. He's long and strong. The internal competition is really good also. Really feels like one of these guys McBride/IQ/Grimes is gonna be a legit stud

He’ll get minutes. Kemba and Drose will need breaks/injury time. Its a good gig for this season. One year at a time.

Rose is about 75% of this guy, which is still damn good:

All I can say is do not ask Rose to start again. Physically he can’t do it anymore. His role should be instant offense and facilitator off the bench

When Walker gets injured IQ needs to be starting at PG with Rose off the bench

If one good thing comes out of the playoffs hopefully it’s Thibs realizing this

He was last year, but the pressure is off this year given he is in a platoon with Kemba. I think RJ is the most important player aside from Julius- his ability to the next level (and he has the highest ceiling of any player on the roster not named Randle) is what makes us move from good to great team. And even day to day he makes a huge difference when he is playing well consistently.

Remember we were a .500 team before Rose got here. He changed the level of the team overall. It sucks he's not young anymore so we need to keep him as healthy as possible. I'm not sure why Thibs is even playing him in the preseason. Guys like Rose do not need it imo.

Also remember he's a guy that almost never shot 3's, even at his MVP level of play. Now he's promoting 3's like no other player on the roster, and he's not just launching shots like WESTBROOK

IMO Rose is a much smarter player now than he was during his MVP yr, I think TT is a lot smarter as a Head coach now than when he was with the BULLs and Twolves.

So much has been written about Rose being “smarter” its awesome you take those articles as your own.
We also read how TT when hired had changed and now a season after we have evidence he really did put much into place from last season.
