I had no idea EF has made the second most 3's so far. He has been worth that huge new contract. If Kemba can give us this kind of effort every other game we might do a lot better than people think this year. Rose is the one consistent for us so I never have to worry about him.

You don't have to worry about DRose effort...just his knees!

So ... we benching Fourmier yet?
jrodmc @ 10/29/2021 8:39 AM
No, it's Quickley.

Martin with keeping this awful thread alive on the down low.

That's cold, bro.

I like it.

Poor man's Paul Pierce. He's awesome!

I thought he was drafted by Orlando........

I made that mistake in a thread.

Just watching the game against the Pels, Walker is like one of the best guards in the league at drawing charges? That's sexy, he is a perfect fit for our team right here. Not to mention him being one of the leagues top 3 point shooters this season so far

Yeah, I was mistakenly under the impression that he was drafted by the FO that included Scott Perry when he was assistant GM.

So when are we benching Fournier and Kemba! Or trading them for a late 2 and/or bad contracts?

On to the next candidates.....

"Quick"?
Freudian slip?

This didn’t age well.

You have to be patient with impatient threads...

The whole premise of the thread was based on the fair play in pre season. Im not sure how it morphed? But all I said was please play better and they have

Less than 47 is conceding you are worse than last year - or that last year was a fluke. I don't think it was a fluke. I don't think we are worse than last year - even on a comparative basis.

Without reading into Preseason too much

For the record, what the Knicks 82-game record might be in the spring of 2022 isn't in any way the point in mid-October 2021.

The point is its mid-October.

The 2021 NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks started 2-3 and then 16-13 (a 45 win/82-game pace) last season.

The team they met in the finals the Phoenix Suns started 8-8.

The point isn't what some end of the season "goal" is.

The point is to let the season happen for a few weeks to a couple of months, because as professional sports demonstrates to us all on a constant basis, what happens in the beginning of the season often has little relation to what happens at the end.

Briggs is setting himself up to complain if the Knicks winning % ever falls below .700 at any point in the season, including week 1.

Which is ridiculous.

Um. As a Knicks fan? I couldn't disagree with you any more.

Outside of a couple of seasons? Throughout the previous 20 years? Our seasons were OVER before they STARTED and our playoff hopes (over the years) have been dead before game #20.

The whole "it's not about how you start it's how you finish" cliche is horse crap (especially for Knicks/Jets fans).

Knickoftime wrote:Knicks aren't a 60+ win team this year.

Knicks are not championship caliber this year.

And there is nothing wrong with that.

And there is nothing attitude/approach/outlook will do to change an objective fact.

Who says?

You?

Well I strongly disagree with your assessments of this current 2021-2022 team in terms of both talent and potential.

Tom Thibs during (only) year #1 last year gave us an NY culture and led us to the NBA's #1 Defense and also the NBA's #1 3PT%. He turned us around into a postseason team and led us to the playoffs for the 1st time since 2012-2013. During only year #1 too. And Julius Randle became an All-Star under him.

This year? BIG TIME ADDITIONS AND MAJOR UPGRADES.

■ Kemba Walker (PG).

■ Evan Fournier (SG).

■ Mitchell Robinson (missed the playoffs vs. ATL).

■ R.J. Barrett is now a 3rd year player with All-Star
ability.

■ Obi Toppin/Immanuel Quickly are no longer Rookies.

■ Derrick Rose thanks to Kemba Walker goes back to becoming our 6th man for a firepower bench unit (instead of being forced to start vs. ATL due to Thibs dislike for Elfrid).

■ More team/player/coach chemistry in comparison to last year and why? Because 2021-2022 IS NO LONGER COACH THIBS 1ST YEAR IN NY (HELLO).

And our OFFENSE is currently #1 within the entire NBA and our offensive firepower is forreal.

You might not believe this is a 60 win team. You might not believe this is a Championship Caliber Team

But that does not mean you're right but yet you continue to act as if your view points are "FACT".

Look man. I've watched a lot of Knicks basketball over the years. And so have you. Dating back to the 1990s so I strongly disagree with you telling everyone who believes in this team on how "wrong we really are"

Last year coach Thibs built a winner after this year he's developed us into CONTENDERS because we're as DEEP as any team in the league and Julius Randle as our star player now has HELP.

BRIGGS wrote:Same thing as last year. Rose and Randle have to bail us out. iq also doesn't look much improved at all

Even though Grimes did not shoot well he played well. Looks the part. I also like the Obie activity.

I wonder at some point if we start grimes and play Fournier off the bench. We're getting down double digits again. Same same same

Throughout 6 games both Kemba Walker/Evan Fournier have combined for...

• Points: 195 points (32.5 points per game).

• Rebounds: 38 rebounds (6.3 rebounds per game).

• Assists: 33 assists (5.5 assists per game).

• FG's: 68/148 (.459%).

• 3PT: 45/89 (50.5% from 3).

• Free Throws: 14/19 (73.6%).

• 18 steals (3 steals per game).

• 6 blocks (1.0 per game).

These two give us the Offensive firepower that we lacked vs. ATL last year and guess who deeply misses both of Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier as of right now? The BOSTON CELTICS (and their fans).

Grimes can stay where he's at. Which is on the bench;

because Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier are playing AWESOME for us (as starters).
