He has the talent, doesn't he? But I want to use Mitch as our starting center and not go small. (Unless the opponent dictates that.)
Obi can't supplant Fournier the way he is playing. RJ isn't going anywhere.
Obi needs 25-30 minutes a night. That is the compromise. Bring him in for whomever comes out first - Mitch or Randle. Then adjust accordingly. Go small more often.
He just has too much talent not to be getting a fair amount of minutes.
Damn we have a very good team. Stay healthy.

SF: Alrc Burks.

Forget about it.
Knicks by 25-30+ tonight in an absolute slaughtering.
You know you have a good team when they not only beat a team they're supposed to, but DESTROY them.
I called for a 25-30 point win? And they win by 25?
NYK: 121.
ORL: 96.
We're forreal.
Anyone else catch Terrence Ross jokingly putting Randle in a head lock before an assistant coach pulled him off? High comedy. Ross looks like he would love to come to New York.

Crazy how many Knick fans were in the building! Also ridiculous how quickly we've built up the 3point shooting on this team- before the start of last season we looked like we had no 3pt shooting at all. Now it feels like everyone can hit them
god remember the people crying about hiring Thibs and his antiquated offense and philosophies?
Clean wrote:On a random note. Thibs is a defensive magician. Last year Obi was better than advertised but still really bad on D. This year the only major complaint I have about his D is he fouls a little too much. Like Mitch he too will get better at that it just might take another year of on court experience since he did not play much as a rookie.
I'm happy that I seem to have been wrong about Obi as a player.
Much more relaxed and instinctual now.
Hope he keeps evolving.

Lots of Thibs critics about the lack of 3 point shooting dates back to, Chicago.
Did they really expect the Bulls with Derrick Rose, Taj Gibson, Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer to become a 3 point shooting team and mostly because of only Kyle Korver? Nuts. Get real. Because Jimmy Butler isn't a great 3pt shooter either.
He never had the SHOOTERS to let his kids SHOOT.
But now he does.
Last year? We were #1 in 3PT% but didn't shoot a lot of 3s.
This year? We're letting it FLY.
Kemba Walker.
RJ Barrett.
Evan Fournier.
Julius Randle.
Derrick Rose.
Immanuel Quickley.
Alec Burks.
Obi Toppin.
All free to SHOOT.
COACH THIBS IS AN ALL TIME GREAT COACH HE WORKS WITH WHAT HE HAS.
And now he finally has SHOOTERS who aren't scared to shoot. With Defense? That's scary.

So they banned you at JN over a tweet about that tight end? Kinda lame eh? Just like Zach Wilson’s career
