Will it be the 58% they shot from 3? RJ having his best night? 52% from 2? The 5 and 1 record? The heart the team showed to pull it out despite NO going on a 9-0 run? Come on man. They are winning. Give it a break with the "Coach should be pissed" stuff. Teams will make runs, teams will make bad decisions during games. Unfortunately, the Knicks are experiencing that at the end of their last two games.
Hope you are right but ............................................
I don't want to start a new thread on this- but my god did Zion look huge in a Mike Sweetney kind of way.
One game at a time but we're seriously going to be 7-1 overall heading into @ Milwaukee after we take care of both Toronto and Indiana.
It won't take long before NY is the talk of the NBA because we're forreal this year and coach Thibs has this team ON A MISSION.

I think we were all frustrated after missing out on Zion because of ping pong balls. I know I was.
But not anymore.
Zion because of his insane weight could become a BUST while R.J. Barrett continues to develop into an ALL-STAR (two way) wing player.
As crazy as this may sound but if you were to offer me right now RJ for Zion straight up? I'm laughing at you and telling you NO.

With Kenny Smith knees.
Yea Zion looks like he needs to do some soul searching. His weight is going to make his career plummet.

you need a whale watching boat for a Zion sighting!
Mike Sweetney was never that big when he played. OMG!
Man RJ was so good. Very happy to be 5-1.
Have to wonder whar is going on for the Knicks to keep blowing double digit leads with 3 min to go. All of a sudden they forget situational basketball. Instead of milking the clock they chuck shots early in the clock and give up long rebounds/quick baskets the other way.
Will keep taking the Ws anyway we can get em

Stop insulting whales. 😭

He looks terrible. It looks like his Knees are going to collapse from the weight
Teams will always make runs. It's how you react and we were resilient all the way until those last few mins. I'll take it, although we do need to learn how to blow teams out.

Ridiculously huge, can't believe he isn't dieting while out- does he want to sink his career?

I just don’t get how the Pelicans can’t monitor this. They need to really sit down with the kid and plan something out before his career (not to mention life in general) is ruined.

I seen him in an interview and I didn't even realize it was zion..Dude look like football player
I just watched the highlights from the Nola feed (I think) and the analyst said “give credit where credit is due - RJ Barrett was special tonight“… too soon to discuss RJ for MIP?
Tonight’s game got RJ’s stats to roughly where they were last year. He might be greatly improved as a player (stats seem to show his defense has leveled up) but voters want some tangibles, don’t they?
It’s early in the year, but with more scoring talent on the team vs last season, someone’s numbers are going down. Randle has had a couple of low scoring nights and RJ not so coincidently has looked like more of a star.
This is going to be an interesting team.
There is something just so extra satisfying in watching a player that you drafted and see him develop and get better and better. Breen nailed it last night saying RJ might not get the stats this season with the team being more stacked offensively and there being less shots but he is just a much better player. He won that game last night. And it wasn't just hitting big shots. RJ did it all! He found guys for open shots and layups and made all the key plays. But I just love how much better he's gotten on offense! He couldn't hit a jumper or drive to the hoop his rookie season and last night he showed his hard work. He drove to the lane and used his body. He had step back three and midrange jumpers too. I'm loving RJ and super excited for his future! I think he can be our Andre Iguodala.
5-1! Enjoy it! Don't take it for granted!

The improvements that RJ made last season in comparison to his rookie year? Screamed 3rd year breakout player and potential All-Star written all over his game.
I thought fans were insane for wanting to trade RJ away for a 31 year old PG with TRASH Defense in Damian Lillard.
R.J. is our best draft pick since #33 and he's going to become a multiple x all star there is nothing he can't do and when he drives to the rim he's becoming unstoppable.
I love this kid man.

This team might be better off if no one averaged 20 points. 4 Starters could average 16-18 a game and we might actually win more games. Go with the hot hand, move the ball. Add in 15 from Rose 10 from Mitch, Obi, and Burks.
