I would still bring Mitch back as a bench player. Usually takes a few months into the season, for a veteran to get into playing shape. Mitch hasn’t played that much.
I would bring him back, until we find out if Huk is the answer. If he can stay on the court more than Mitch.

Yes on the big mitts.
Plus, they don't get and do the same amount of skill training as shorter kids do when they young. Most typical coaches will emphasis other things with them instead of shooting, passing, etc. Like, focus on rebounding and being close to the basket, cause for coach, that's the short term gain for the team, give or take.
Tall kids will favor dunking and doing stuff like that cause it's fun. All those things add up.
Not all, but a majority happen that way. More recently, tall kids are dribbling and shooting 3s so that's great.

In regards with the coaching in their younger years, amazing that tall players outside the US can actually shoot FTs. Why? Because they want all players to have all the skills including dribbling and shooting in the perimeter. I follow the Philippine National team and i am amazed at the skill level of their bigs shooting, dribbling and passing. They are not the most athletic but man can they shoot, pass and dribble.
Mitch is coming back from a major injury that kept him out a long time … he’s probably not going to get back to elite defensive athletic freak and being one of the best offensive rebounders in the league until next year. let’s hope he takes a big step forward in this next series. He’s always had brick hands he needs to work on his eye hand coordination. He seems to catch the lob just fine …
You can’t take away that Mitch is a defensive stud and our best perimeter defensive 5 by far and arguably the best defensive 5 in the league when healthy/in game shape.
If Mitch could just shoot fts and catch a dang pass for an easy dunk, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
I love Mitch, he has huge value for this team on his rebounding alone. other teams would love to have Mitch on there team. Mitch would start no question for most NBA teams.
The only way I move on from Mitch is if we fix our problem with adding offensive weapons off the bench.
We need bench scorers in a bad way. Sometimes I wonder if we had a few lethal shooters/scorers off the bench that could play longer minutes and give our starters a rest, I bet we wouldn’t give up big leads which seemed to happen a bunch this year .
I love seeing a defense of Mitch and OG on the floor we are hard to score on… Mitch will play a big role vs the C’s. He should be shooting free throws 24/7 when in practice and catching passes lol
Mitch did his thing. I welcome hack a Mitch by Boston
