The 9 assists is great to see.

The last two were to a scorching hot Burks( recognition there) for a couple of daggers to put the game away ( trust in teammates instead of going into superhero mode) There is a good chance that player growth looks exactly like what Randle is doing this season

this is how Randle has to play- he has to be the super glue and not try to dominate by bouncing the ball. He has to see the game, let it come to him.

Omg I was tracking score I knew this would be close. Just glad we got win.
franco12 @ 11/20/2021 9:28 PM
when does a win feel like a loss?

Glad they won, exciting. Houston is a good team.

But it should never be this close.

Good team? They won 1 game this year

They have Woods. Nuffsaid. Every team can be dangerous on any given night in the NBA. Against our
Knicks

ramtour420 @ 11/20/2021 10:03 PM
Speaking of which, can we get Woods from them?
Clean @ 11/20/2021 11:07 PM

Starting to hear grumblings already. Should be interesting to see if things start getting louder if this continues into our hard stretch of games.

It is the top players who are not playing out on the offensive end. So, are they essentially grumbling and expressing frustration with themselves?

They should be.

That will be Randle- saw his passive aggressive comment the other day where he said basically taking bad shots was forcing things "aparantly" when explaining why he took so few shots (ha, both times autocorrect has changed 'shots' to 'shits' in this sentence) a few games ago. Worrying thing about randle is that his first season with us, Alan hahn said on a podcast that the reason he sucked that year was he signed here expecting to be the man and when that didn't work out he sulked and stopped giving leadership and making as much effort. Seems like he's gone back that a bit this season.

Fournier was also being passive aggressive when saying he plays and shoots better in 4th q's a few days ago (basically complaining about getting no playing time then the last few games.

Kemba also keeps saying how he's trying to get used to a different role on offense.

Think the only one who hasn't complained is RJ.

Grumbling and complaining is for posters only!

Here’s a thought for the “top players” — shoot better

The rest of us are trying to figure out how to get that to work all the time. And ducks too

Let's try to enjoy this one because we are about to go on a long losing streak unless we start playing a lot better. Most of this game you couldn't tell who was the two win team. It look a superhuman Reggie Miller-like fourth quarter from Burks to save us. IQ made some clutch shots too. But Randle and RJ continue to struggle to make shots (8-28, 3-11 from three combined). But Randle had a solid overall game with 10 rebounds and 9 assists and only 2 TOs. But we got outrebounded by 11 (13 offensive rebounds). We're really lucky we played the Rockets because this would be a loss against pretty much any other team.

On the positive side, it was good to see Fournier make some shots, even though he shot two air balls in the fourth. And Noel takes us to a different level defensively. Let's hope he can stay healthy.

It's been a long time but this is what a .500 team feels like. You win half your games, you lose half your games. There is a lot of inconsistency. I think it's going to be like this the whole season. We'll go on losing streaks and fall a few games under .500 and go on winning streaks and get back to .500. I think the hope is for this team is to get it together in the second half of the season and go on a 8-10 game win streaks like last season and put us in the top 6 in the East and avoid the play-in. But that's only going to happen if Randle and RJ play like they are capable of. I also think we might need to make a trade. Remember how the Rose trade gave us that boost. We're missing that 3&D player in the starting lineup.

Its why they won. Terribly played game again. We will see what happens but I believe a very long losing streak is about to start. We play like we did tonight we won't win any of these games

Knicks are 6-2 against teams .500 or better. Not saying that dictates anything going forward but I’m not looking at a set of games and judging anything. This is the nba. Most of the time you can beat anyone or lose to anyone. Have to go one game at a time.

NYK have been playing to the level of competition...a tendency marked by their inconsistency game-to-game...even qtr-to-qtr. It's frustrating, but there's certainly a foundation. Admittedly it's tough to play 60 min of tight defense...saps energy.
