I really hope they work out Dalen Terry. The rumor is he embarrass Shaedon Sharpe 1-on-1 at the Blazers workout
Terry is an interesting player. He's the kind of guy you bring off the bench when you want defense. He wreaks havoc on players trying to move the ball. Not surprised he gave Sharpe a hard time. High energy, long arms, and ultra-aggressive. Not sure where you'd play him on the Knicks unless he substituted for one of the wings for his defense. He's an average shooter (career: FG 50%, 3PT 35%, FT 68% [although he notched his free throws up to 74% last season]) and most of his points come from steals and fast breaks after a great defensive play. Also, he rarely shoots the three ball - a little over a couple times a game.

Team needs a playmaker shot creator. Not another role player

Thanks for the break down!

Well, unfortunately there aren't any where we're picking- nearly all our workouts are role playing SG/SF types. That's what we're likely drafting. Every year you set yourself up for a fall- you focus in on players you know we won't draft and then have a draft day meltdown when we don't draft them, where you start threads saying how awful the pick is, how we're doomed and how you're walking away etc. Manage your expectations, man!

Mark Williams would be such an underwhelming pick to me. I don't like the idea of taking that position and that skill set in the lottery. You can find C's later on tbh.

Based off of age and upside, I think Branham is the guy if you go wing at #11. His game would just add a new wrinkle to whatever the hell the Knicks were running this year.

Hes a very decent ball player. When he gets stronger he could be hard to deal with. I like that he has a dribble/handle to his game.

I can't stand guards who do not defend so no thanks to Branham. It would be Tim Hardaway Jr/Fournier all over again.

As a general matter I agree but if FO was convinced they had Hobert 2.0 or Bam 2.0 of course you take there. Extreme value in that case
For the record I am not saving M.Williams or Duren are that. I’m just saying I understand the thinking

Of course people would like more well rounded but also keep in mind your description covers Reggie Miller. Klayman Thompson and devin booker all of whom were drafted in our area and two of whom didn’t really develop their D
You have to consider the candidates pros and cons on balance and also weigh how the guy will compete and grow in NBA.

Who thought or predicted a year ago our picks would be Grimes, Rokas, McBride, and Sims? Or the year before Obi and IQ? I expect to be surprised, maybe pleasantly. What I don't expect is a massive giveaway of assets for a shiny toy that will be tossed aside as soon as we are tired of it.
