If Dolan was willing to give him just a small percentage of the Garden the last 25 years would have been completely different - and we probably win a championship or 2

And how does that happen in your mind? LeQ takes his talents to MSG? The Rat is the rat. End of story.

I really miss 1997-2000. Nothing like beating a rat 3 seasons in a row.

Why do u think Lebron signed with Miami? When he met with Riley literally all he did was take the rings off his fingers and show them to Lebron

We beat Riley in the late 90’s because we simply had more talent at the time

Right, and having South Beach Superfriends to play with had nothing to do with The Decision. Check.

And beating Riley is still beating Riley. I also miss having more talent than Miami.

You do remember that Riley drafted Dwayne Wade?

Yes I do. Do you remember who we drafted when Riley was here? Oh yeah, that's right, nobody.

My point remains. If Riley had been here, his 20 year old rings weren't going to get LeQ to play with DLee and the Rooster. And Earl Barron.

Riley wasn’t the GM here. Grunfeld and Dave Checketts were in charge of personnel. All Riley did was take 39 win team with decent talent and win 51 games the following season and almost beat the Bulls with both Michael and Scottie in their primes

There is no logical way anyone can argue we are better off with Layden/Isiah/and 17 straight crappy head coaches than with Riley

Granted, and I would never argue anything related to Scott Laydum and ID10T. My only point remains is that no one was beating LeQ and Superfriends and Riley wouldn't have been able to change that by flashing his rings to get Lebron to MSG, being GM with 25% of Jimmy's money or no.

Riley was 50% of the reason why Lebron went to Miami. Wade and Bosh were the other 50% and Riley drafted Wade

When I see what Lance Stephenson is doing in Indy, I wonder why we don't take a ten day flyer on JR Smith, one of the most entertaining knicks evah.

I'm also beginnng to wonder about youth movements in general as we see covd-strapped team after team play often better basketball with golden oldies on the floor than with the unwashed youth.

On the other hand you may also get the the satisfaction level of punching yourself in the balls if you make that move

Lance played in China and kept at it in the gleague. He s 31.
JR is 36, been done for a while, in College, North Carolina A&T on the golf team. Seriously.

I miss the late 90's. Very dark period of my life but at least all of my sports teams (Yankees, Knicks, Jets, Devils) were all good and competing for championships at the same time.
