are you broken?
People might come after me for this too but McBride needs time just like how Grimes got. Even if he makes mistake leave him in. I am done watching low energy, low effort vets and trash ISO's. Give Randle a rest game or two please.

Agreed on all fronts
Maybe we can trade for Bobby Portis....

“One game doesn’t mean anything but it’s a positive step”
He already setting up to benching Grimes once he is not forced to play him due to COVID cases. Yall can throw that coach of the year crap at someone else. Thibs has major flaws. With how bad Randle played today you think there was ever a chance for Obi to get more than 20 minutes if he played? The answer is hell no.
If they had an NBA's Most Declined Player of the Year, Julius Randle would win it hands down. I've never seen a player take such a huge dive as he has from one season to the next. It's crazy to witness just how bad he's been compared to last season. Like did the empty arenas really help him THAT much? Did Nate McMillan just ruin his career by exposing him this badly? It's sad to see. I was a big Randle fan and supporter entering this season but that's fast going away with the way he's playing. I mean, I can accept missed shots but I cannot take the turnovers, the poor defense, the refusing to shoot and the poor body language. It's like he's the complete opposite of what he was last season.
Going into this game I had no believe we would win or it would even be close. And that's at full strength. As soon as we learned we would be down 3 guys, I knew it was pretty much over. We already got lucky against the Bucks this season anyway. But it was good to see Grimes have a game like that. Hopefully he's a draft pick that we hit on cause we need talent and we need a reason to honestly just give away Fournier. I really hope as soon as midnight hits on Wednesday, that we just trade away Fournier. Take whatever you can get. Even if it's just a second rounder.
Also good to see Knox hit some shots. Hopefully some GM out there was watching and is fooled into trading for him.
It's bad right now. Feels like your typical Knicks season.
In fairness it's pretty easy to say "play the young guys" when the team is struggling (I said it last year for Toppin). What's key is why it is suggested. We didn't see much of Grimes to determine why he should be playing more. We certainly needed better outside shooting and Grimes did always seem to have a good stroke/efficient so hopefully he builds on this performance. Just remember many here thought Knox's shooting stroke should overshadow his motor and he seemed to develop lousy habits when we overplayed him his rookie season. 3 years later he still doesn't show much initiative to do anything than stand and shoot corner 3s. So while I do hope Thibs loosens up a bit with his coaching style (as we may have some talented young players) - I'm all for making sure they work hard, play both sides of the ball and are willing to earn their minutes. Otherwise you end up with guys like A.Trier (talented but thrown in too early because of deficient roster).
Gonna go with this game now. This is gonna be the most enjoyable game of the season for me, I don't care about the outcome, but it looks like we found a backcourt starter in Grimes
I can’t believe I’m saying this but….Calipari said Knox is a late bloomer. He showed positive progress today. Now don’t we have to play him to see if there’s anything there….or does he go the way of Frank. I think you have to play him.
Didn't catch most of the game today but unless Knox is showing consistent defensive effort and hustle - he's too streaky to play regularly. Those are the things streaky players do to maintain minutes when their shot is not falling (eg Starks, hopefully Grimes).
Missed the second half, but am seeing in the boxscore that Duece played 1 minute in a blow out with 3 rotation players out of the lineup.

I can’t say I was laser focused on the game, but, if Knox was a minora he had a few candles lit. He was active, engaged and athletic. He even showed a a little confidence

Facts I have been begging for Grimes to get run , his jump shot is wet ...............Free all the young guns
So watching the replay now, beginning of 2nd Q , Knox looking like player in this league, playing with energy
20 gamrs into the season EF still cannot catch a pass from Randle while just standing behind the 3 line. I am starting to think he is not really a good player

Ok, I am at halftime. Randle playing well, actually. Great give and go connection w/ Grimes already. Being the glue guy, getting into the paint and kicking it out instead of forcing it against multiple defenders. Great D, that block on Giannis is Sport Center worthy. Grimes had a great half, displaying 110% nonstop D, incredible shooting, superb passing for his position too, making reads and taking advantage of where the D is Grimes is able to effectively get into the paint and score with a variety of polished moves
