You are giving up playable assets and picks for a 35 year old who is out of the rotation for his own team? WTF
Im not capologist but at least look at the damn contracts before spewing idiocy. Dragic contract expires this season. Makes 19mil. Toronto took him as part of Lowrey deal. The money part of the deal.
35 years old and breaking down. really, “Couple of picks and Mitchell? And the get two years of Kemba? Im sure toronto chomping at the bit for them. He gonna turn it around here?
Briggs, remember all those stock trades you used to talk about? Like you had some basic math skills?
Well Rockets pay Wall 43 mil this year 49 next.
Not for nothing but a lot of you are making suggestions that are worse than when Dolan steps in to move on Bargs

See smackeddog's response - he's sitting because they working on a buy out - he is not hurt. I knew that - I didn't know he might be angling to go to Dallas.
But if we wanted out on a contract - would they take Fournier who might be serviceable there with VanVleet & some draft picks and we buy Dragic out.
That has the added benefit of moving Briggs from the ledge.
I just hope we do not repeat what we did in 2014 and fire Thibs like we did when we fired Woodson. We had a huge decline from 2013 to 2014 and Woodson was the scapegoat. I think we need to stay the course and not make any stupid panic moves - like trading the farm for Lillard.
If things do not get better and we end up with 30-35 wins or a 10th seed play-in, just stay on course, use the draft and make the right trades that bring in Thibs-type players. We shouldn't look at making the playoffs as this huge necessity. We need to remember it's just year 2 of this regime. They need more time. We leapfrogged expectations last season but when this regime started, we were realistically looking at year 3 or 4 before we become a playoff team.

Are you trying to go toe to toe with Isiah Thomas the GM?

While I don't think Woodson is a good coach, I agree with you in everything else. Everyone always has expectations, Everytime. When those expectations are not met we get upset and we start placing blame. And we use our previous expectations to justify our blame. It's a vicious cycle. This season's expectations were overblown imho. I did not do the win predictions because this season I wanted growth, wins would come regardless. Instead we got a setback. Time to reassess needs

Dolan needed to step in when Phil Jackson was over his head. And he did. I don’t get the negativity here. Knicks are being run like a healthy franchise that just isn’t playing well. There’s no drama. The team just needs to step up.
They can’t comprehend a bad team that isn’t also a walking disaster. Dolan does not need to step in at all

Woodson was a good coach. Problem is that roster’s window had closed. We should have simply let Melo sign with the bulls and tanked the following season instead of only halfway tanking. OKC offered us a 1st rd pick for JR Smith on top of us having our own lottery pick
We aren’t in as bad a situation this year. Our roster still has a window they just need to play better
Hell yeah, let's do anything!
I don't see Dolan stepping in front, beside or even whispering sour nothings in Leon's ear. The minute you see Dolan's name on a back page for meddling, Leon would have been gone the week before. A guy with an agent's brain and the league on speed dial is not going to put up with any shit from Jimmyboy, no matter how bad the record gets. Damn, I would love to see a video of a meeting between Isaiah and Leon, with Jimmy keeping score from about 30 feet away.
We're not dealing with Phil or Walsh in a wheelchair here.
I like the bit where we declare a player is a bum, demand he get traded asap, then when he comes back and torches us or plays okay with his new team, declare we should never have traded him and that the front office are idiots for getting rid of them.
Good thing we did not sign Reggie Jax. He is not having a good season. But we forget that.
Blues:
“Dolan trade a comin, No way we bummin, Got to grab player past his peak…….
Dolan Trade a comin,, no way we bumin, Grab a new one, now, grab one every week…….”

I wanted him so bad last summer. He probably didn’t want to leave the clips tho even if we offered more years and money
Is there a way the knicks can trade for Sabonis and D'Fox while still keeping RJ, Obi, IQ, Deuce and Grimes? Can Mitch and Randle be the main trade pcs for these 2 trades plus the picks?
