to set the record for all time 3pters made- he needs 2 I think to set the mark (hear that score bot, how about you count that down!) and to remind Knicks that pointless wins do have consequences!
But- this is an eminently winnable game. GS barely won yesterday against a pacer team. Back to back.
They're 7 & 3, but were coming off a loss from the game before against the Sixers.
Shorthanded as we are, and playing the way we are, this game could turn ugly fast. Curry didn't shoot well last night, but he always lights up the Garden.
Keys to the game- we get Burks back! So - if we ever needed a 20+ point night from Burks, it is tonight!
And Grimes - can he continue the hot play. GS will let you score points.
And Randle - we're not winning unless he can get his head screwed on right. I'm rooting for him.
And Kevin Knox! I'll be watching- hope you can light it up again!

I wonder what Thibs will do to the SL now that Burks is back. Who moves to the bench? My guess is grimes with Rose as our starting PG.
If Rose looks good in that starting role, then thibs needs to decide if RJ starts when he returns, who does he sit Burks or Rose. Decisions….Decisions….Decisions. That’s why Thibs makes the big bucks.
Personally I want to see if grimes can show more consistency and more defense than EF. That will give this FO a chance to redeem itself by trading EF if that’s even possible. With Kemba to sweeten the pot. This would be our version of starting over since those 2 are the only new additions to the SL. Make a trade to fix the SL and keep the bench in tack. It shouldn’t be hard to move both Kemba and EF. At least Kemba at a minimum should help the rotation. But EF has to go. As good of a shooter he is, we need someone with better defense. RJ and Randle are not great defenders so we can afford to add a bone defender to this group, unless it’s an All Star caliber player that Randle would defer to. Or simply trade EF or a better defender who can also shoot but will come off the bench.
Add some high IQ defenders back into the SL. I think Rose and Burks are better than Elf and Bullock. Or EF and Kemba.
Then allow IQ and Obi to take full control of the second unit. Along with grimes.

I still remember begging and praying Steph Curry fell to us. And he was drafted right before our eyes. Still disheartened about it. Barely missed out on the greatest PG of All-time and imo that stinks.

And this is one of those cases where we definitely would have drafted the guy. And it can rage on with what would have happened differently. I'm sure he would not have had the career he's had, because this franchise on the FO/Ownership side has been until recently a disaster.
I do think we should embrace the potential of this year to be our Tim Duncan year- we're we do have a solid foundation, just missing some star power, and maybe the lotto gods smile down upon us and we move from 8 or 10 to the #1 spot. With our play, that is my hope as a best/worst outcome for the season.
Where's the Rebecca Harlow pic Martin?

If the Warriors are smart, they will not play us tonight. I would stay clear from the knicks with all these covid protocols happening back to back.
I'll be shocked if we're even in this game tbh. Curry will be smelling blood closing on that record. I can easily see him going for 50 tonight too.

50? All he needs is 6 😂 Then he can sit down.

Warriors played last night in Indy...Didn't arrive here until this morning. We may be able to make a game of it...

he struggled last night. But our defense has a way of curing struggling shooters.
Man Covid is on the rise in sports, NBA might have to go back to super strict like last season no fans and strict rules for players … the pandemic isn’t getting better anytime soon with the new variant. The NBA is eventually going to have to step in.
Tonight’s game will be played over Zoom.
If anything happens to Clyde I will be pissed. This is on the NBA. They let players play sick. The warning was RJ getting sick from AD playing with a mystery illness. If a player is sick they should sit no matter what. They then had the Knicks play Indiana and Toronto with both having positive tests. With new variants and waning antibody protection from initial shots they need to be more strict on COVID protocols. It seems like 70% of NBA teams have multiple positive tests. That most likely mean players are playing other teams with it. They have to be especially careful since this new variant evades protection and is way more transmissible than even the Delta variant.
