I would trade RJ for Fox.
That's got to be more than a little controversial. Why not IQ, Grimes, and a pick for Fox?

1st: do you want zion and pay him?
2nd: what is the acquisition cost?As a fan what don’t we know? His physiology/biology and can it be enhanced? Does he have the fortitude and character/desire to defy his nature and work to get the greatness.
Right. Questions any team interested in him have to seriously consider.
Personally, I would treat it as a fair swap, Knox for Zion because Zion has no better future prospect than Knox at this point -nothing to lose, snowball's chance in hell of gain. Still, basically buying a lottery ticket.
Say that happens, we get him for Knox and two number 1’s. Sit him this year, he comes back beasting, at age 24, give him max money then what? Hire a body guard to prevent him from eating a twinkie? Social media tweating out when he goes to KFC or a Pizza joint and stuffs his face with bad food? TMZ will pay for pictures of him with a bag or doritos and a big gulp of Mountain Dew?
He doing this to get traded? Break his foot then eat his way out of NOLA seems extreme.
Maybe not consciously overeating to get traded - but maybe he hates living/playing there and is depressed... maybe he his injury didn't help get him started on falling into worse shape and then it took over where he's dug a pretty big ditch. Emotionally this happens quite a lot to people. So while we have no idea what is going on - I wouldn't rule out that his happiness (or lack of) in NO could be contributing mightily to his training, diet, mood, effort, etc... If he hypothetically were to reunite with his buddy RJ in NJ at some point - while that wouldn't solve any underlying issues I suspect it may help change the trajectory of his life. Even a trade to a different city could serve as a temporary crutch to help him become the best version of himself in the league.
They were teammates for like 8 months together. Depressed over eating living apart from his best buddy a bit over the top. Moving to new city is a nice change but the old saying “you always take the weather with you” is true too. I won’t pretend to get in his head.
Lets say I’d be ok with scenario of paying up for a healthy Zion. I’d hope we don’t empty the cupboard of assets on his emotional state.
The feedback on Zion seems to be 'no-trade' even if its a low cost transaction because any long-term projection is way too expensive.
Monday's improbable trade;
Noel, Toppin, Walker for Brunson and Tim Hardaway, Jr.
EF+Kemba+Toppin+McBride+2 1sts for Simmons
mrob+burks+mcbride+3 1sts for Ayton

whoa.
Today's improbable trade;
Fournier, Toppin, Walker, Mitch for KAT and Layman
Dallas having some buyers remorse in this improbable trade.
Knicks sends Evan, Noel and burks for Poor-zingis and Bronson plus 2 more 1st rounders.
😂
How may 1st rounders will it take for knicks fans to consider a trade for the Poor-zingis brothers? 😂

I knew that straight jacket would come in handy one day ! Hold on brother, we are coming to save you from yourself
It's funny that if someone had posted the Cam Reddish trade I would have called it out for being unrealistic.
obi+mcbride+1st for garland
jaydh wrote:obi+mcbride+1st for garland
I would definitely make this trade. Unfortunately, I think Garland has cemented his place with the Cavs and not much of a need for Obi with Mobely and Allen holding down the 4/5
burks+toppin+mcbride+2 1sts for Bullock+cauley-stein+brunson
mrob for brunson. Robinson wants to go to Dallas, NY wants Brunson.
jaydh wrote:burks+toppin+mcbride+2 1sts for Bullock+cauley-stein+brunson
is this possibly one of the top 10 worst trade ideas ever? Bullock , no need for him. CS, sucks and Brunson is a FA to be .

most likely just Improbable Trade of the Day

For sure.. it was more to show that we do have the assets to get Brunson here without including our more important young pieces.
Knicks are hot for Brunson right now. What would it take? Considering the Knicks desperation and Pacers asking for 2 1sts for Turner, I could see Dallas wanting at least 2 1sts. Does 2 1sts+Mcbride+Noel for Brunson and filler work?
Pacers Looking For Two First Round Picks For Myles Turner and/or One 1st round pick + a talented youth.
I'd send them one 1st round pick and Deuce McBride.
C: Mitchell Robinson.
PF: Julius Randle.
SF: R.J. Barrett.
SG: Evan Fournier.
PG: Derrick Rose.
C: Myles Turner.
PF: Obi Toppin.
SF: Cam Reddish.
SG: Quentin Grimes.
PG: Immanuel Quickley.
I'm not a fan of trading Mitchell Robinson for Turner but I'd definitely appreciate him alongside of our 2nd unit.

Nope. No thanks; I actually appreciate having Obi Toppin as Julius Randle's backup @ PF. Because if anything were to ever happen to Julius Randle it could become Obi Toppin who saves our PF position.
