We play consistently better without Kemba. Sorry Kemba fans. I wish it wasn’t so.

6 assists 0 turnovers.
He needs to become our starting PG.
Burks isn't what it is.
What will thibs do when Kemba and rose is available? IQ so far fits well with the starting unit, even if he’s not a PG of the 90s. IQ is a 2022 PG in todays game. His energy, unselfish and outside shooting helps the offense.
Nice win and both R.J. Barrett and Julius Randle had monster games especially R.J. BARRETT.
I won't get too excited over this win though.
However if we win our next 3 @ Cleveland/Miami/Milwaukee I'll begin to become fired up again.

The pace of the game was more to our liking. Clippers play the half court game. Everyone was comfortable tonight. Not rushing and out of rhythm like we were against teams that play with pace and like to run. If we are going to win, we need to dictate the pace.
NYKMentality wrote:Can coach Thibs please put Cam Reddish in the game and this time alongside of RJ Barrett?
Few are alongside Barret these days.
Elite sometimes creep up on fans. RJ is 21. This shyt is real.
As long as Mitch is a Knick, we’ll need multiple backup centers.
I hope the sprain is mild.

Still, the 21-year-old Barrett acknowledged his desire to emerge as a leader on and off the court during his third season with the Knicks. “I feel Year 3, also just being with this staff and these guys for a couple years now, it’s a lot easier for me, because I’m out there on the court experiencing things, seeing things, just trying to help in any way that I can,” Barrett said. “I feel that leadership is not just what you say. It’s what you do, how you act, how you comport yourself in the facility, on the court, in the games everywhere. “So, just trying to bring positive energy. And also, I think that the staff and the players have trust in me, as well, that if I say something or if I put my two cents in that we can have a conversation about it.”
Reposting this from the first page. Barrett wants to take the leadership role on this team. You can tell he wants to be the man badly. I don’t think Randle has the same desire to lead.
If RJ had started the year like this, he’d be doing some traveling all star weekend.
7 Turnovers for Randle,
That almost overshadow his solid performance

Do we have the cap room to resign him? His contract status is something I am not familiar with. He is a FA and no bird rights I think. Do we have to sign him with cap space.

UFA but Knicks have full Bird Rights. No cap space needed

24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists. 8 of 15 from the field, 3 of 7 from the three.
Of course we all cherry pick stats to make our case. For one I was under the impression Thibs doesn't play younguns in a tight rotation. Today 11 players hit the floor, including young Mitch, IQ, Grimes, Obi, Cam, and 21 year old RJ leading the way with 43 minutes. But we can't let any of that get in the way!
good call Martin on mixing up the launch post. Rebecca's not getting it done any longer: Go KCD!!
