I actually like this for the nets.
SergioNYK @ 2/10/2022 1:28 PM
This won't end well for either team imho.
Clean @ 2/10/2022 1:29 PM
The unintended consequence is we will never beat the Nets again. We have never beat a team when Ben Simmons plays.

am I wrong to say I like that trade a lot for the Nets.

Is Simmons vaccinated or does his nutcase not go that far?

Nets did great. Simmons adds defense and play making. Curry replaces the loss of Harris. Drummond is a solid back up. Plus they get two long term assets back that were lost when they traded for Harden.
All for a guy that was not going to be there or wanted to be there.

Both teams did well for themselves...Curry and and Drummond were the only rotation players the Sixers loss in the trade. Keeping Thybulle and Maxey out of the trade was smart on the Sixers part.

Looks like they got 2 1st rounders too...

They obviously got better since Simmons was not playing and Harden is one of the best scorers in the league. However, curious to see how Harden will gel with Embid. Both strong personalities and Harden has always been problematic. Also, can't ever forget the Harden defense factor in the playoffs. Or lack there of.

Think Nets got much better and will be more successful.

Nalod @ 2/10/2022 1:42 PM
getting Seth curry is huge for them given Harris has been out. He’ll get a lot of open looks.
Nets might be better with simmons then with Harden if they can get Kyrie on the floor.
Plan has to be to tank, not have home court advantage, Rest Kyrie, Durant each home game. Win all in 7? LOL

Nets are crazy starphuck last few years. Very interesting team.

OK

I agree...I think the nets did really well for themselves with this deal. They got much better defensively with Simmons and added a much needed spot up shooter in Curry with Harris being out. Nash can get creative with his new lineup by putting Simmons at the 5 depending on the matchups. On top of that, they got 2 1st round picks which are invaluable.

As for Philly, Harden gives them a legit perimeter scorer to go with Embiid. Curry was often targeted on defense by the opposition, now Harden will be the new target which is why I thought it was important for them to keep Thybulle.

1 he left. All is quiet with the Knicks. Oh well 70 minutes of hope left
Clean @ 2/10/2022 1:59 PM
I am starting to lose hope. Got my hopes up for something good but good things don't usually happen for the Knicks.

Another combo guard. He helps, but doesn't address their core issue.
