Should've just kept the pick and been patient. What other teams do this?
Also the complaint about booing is stupid. Knicks fans have filled the arena for 22 years watching bad basketball. They go there to cheer and they get hyped at any point. But it comes down to the teams play which is been overwhelmingly poor. I’m not a boo guy but don’t complain if u hear them.
This has been well documented across the NBA...
Berman is reporting the knicks are looking for a 2 for one trade, and the key word is "LOOKING"
Which means they made this trade with no counter in mind, no other trades on the back burner. If the trade deadline passes with no movement, this will go down as the one of the stupidest trades in KNICKS HISTORY..
Honestly, Reddish looks very slow and not very athletic in the minutes he’s played.
But, certainly doesn’t make a lot of sense to move a 1st. Especially when they have grabbed Grimes and IQ with late picks.

Wait till after the trade deadline to complain about this trade. They need to clear the vet wings out of here to open up minutes.
Some play Chess, and those that play checkers.
Just becuase you don’t understand something does not mean its a dumb move. Its just not apparent.
Reddish has played mostly garbage time and has not enough time to practice and blend in.
Also, he is a young 22. I suppose the question is what does the FO think of him as an asset on the court or as a trade not just this month but this season and beyond.
Is it really incomprehensible that the knicks might have a plan that exceeds the trade deadline and this season? I suppose that being “Patient” means drafting conceptual players to fill conceptual needs.
Or does this conflict with fans youtube highlight gullibility thinking those never miss clips translate to fantastic NBA careers?
Might it be better to comment until after the draft deadline? There is a reason for him to be here. We just don’t know why. Does that make it dumb?
Waith the season and see if we sit Burks and give minutes if we not playoff bound?
Maybe, we are after a player and part of the package is “We’ll do it, if you can figure a way to get Reddish in the deal”? Thats plausible. Or, “Zion can’t do a thing until healthy, but he tells his agent that he really wants to be in NYC with his dukie’s and would consider knicks under that circumstance”. Thats plausible. Personally I think thats a big stretch.
Its plausible that we make a big deal he is in it, or we want him in the aftermath as not to leave thy cupboard bare like we did with the Melo deal. (JROD, relax, its not a slight on him, it was on FO not having enough around him!)
Or on someones whiteboard in MSG desires a long athletic 3 to play with randle and RJ or off the bench for quality minutes. Might not be for this season.
Chess, a game not for short attention spans.
Briggs "we should be patient"
Briggs: is never phucking patient

Holy Histrionics Batman!
Worse than the Curry Trade? The Bargnani Trade? The McDyess Trade? Trading for Jalen Rose? Eisley? Trading away Spree? Steve Francis? Trading away Ewing and taking on $90M of salary cap for 4 years?

What do you call it when someone can't keep up with Connect4?

I didn't say the worse, I said one of the worst ever, and trust me, there's a long list of trades that have set us back yrs.
I'll start bitching if/when the trade deadline and this road trip passes and Reddish is still not playing. I'm kind of expecting Burks to be gone in the next few days.
But even if he doesn't play, I'd still make the trade. Knox is total garbage and it's unlikely we were going to find a player in the 20s in this upcoming draft that is as talented as Reddish.

There are some who choose to consistently point backwards in blame
There are others who choose to point their way forward towards a new direction.
Even if there are no further moves before the deadline, how exactly would you know if this is even a bad trade (or not) until you see what happens with Cam, Knox, Hill and the First Round pick? Why jump the gun? Are you in search on some type of scorched earth crusade against this FO?
Cam has not looked great in the limited action so far
BUT I can say i saw some Atlanta games where he looked legit in the way Zaire Williams looks legit on Grizzly (though Zaire looks more legit)
Issue is he'll need some consistent minutes -- like a lot of our other guys.
this is the issue with the draft picks. Now you have new guys and no place for them
Only BRIGGS cant stand to wait a whole week to see if we clear some roster space to play Cam before having a multiple thread meltdown

backtracking is never a good look. You won’t really know how a trade works out unti:
1. Said player is in rotation
2. Trade deadline comes and goes
3. draft
4. Free agency
5. his contract status changes
6. Did we repurpose him in another trade
7. did we make trades to open up playing time
8. Look in hindsight 3 years his development either on the team or elsewhere
9. how did the team perform in the time after.
OR you can set your hair on fire freaking the fuck out like a damn spazz.
