That’s what happens at times. That’s y we Shouod never criticize knicks fans who put everything into their team. Show up fill the arena with highest prices —- where was this effort all year???? We would never hear boos

And watching it, did you think "YES! that booing will definitely help! What fantastic fans, I'd love to play for them"

A it seemed to kick the laker players in the arse

B I don’t care for booing but I think it’s reasonable to say that it happens and more than likely it’s fairly used.

It don't seem to hurt the Lakers. They get plenty of stars. For some reason people makes things seem worse when its a Knick fan who does it.

weren't they just booing Westbrook?

And I was listening to someone on sports radio that said he would be great here.

And I thought- wow, he is playing like absolute crap, so yea, perfect here

If I was Mel Gibson and I had to sell a bunch of original Monets and Picasso to keep my lakers season tickets I’d boo too

17 chips both in LA and Bos. 43 chips of 75.
Why is the Garden the “Mecca” of basketball again?

As I said two weeks ago, Knick fans booed the performance, not the man. Same for Westbrook. When they took him out the played much better. Lebron and AD were fantastic BtW.

Because most of the “chips” were won at the LA Forum and the Boston Garden

Interesting answer. Really its that MSG hosted the NIT for years and used to bring in College powerhouse games for NYC and draw crowds/media in a time college ball was bigger than NBA.
Those days are long.
Also you had NYU, St Johns, and other small schools were relevant.
Then you had the Rucker in the summer. Now players live in california and train out there.
Then you had the celebrated “NYC Point Guard” thing with HS chips played in MSG. Tiny Archibald, Kenny smith, Pearl Washington, Phil Ford, Kenny Anderson and many others. Seems Marbury was about the last star to come out and seemingly the hype was greater then the output for many of those players.
