They are now the favorites to not only land Jalen Brunson— they are also the front runner to sign Mitch

Where does it suggests Detroit is the favorite to sign either?

They are interested and have money...cool. But it's Detroit...

And once upon a time the nets and clippers were both considered nba Siberia teams no free agents wanted to go to

Yeah not sure how Detroit is appealing besides the money. But we will see.

You're still comparing NY/LA to Detroit. Cade has a ways to go to making that team desirable. Even once you balance the roster, it's still an uphill battle.

You do realize that pistons players don’t live in Detroit?

Would you prefer it be referred to as the Detroit Metro Area? The team sucks, so location is absolutely going to play a role. If we offer comparable money, I'm not afraid of Detroit snatching up the FA pool.

Bagley has a $14.7 million qualifying offer and a $28.3 million cap hold. The Pistons had been rumored as a possible suitor for Mitchell Robinson because of all the cap space they’ll have, but you have to wonder whether Bagley’s acquisition is a sign they don’t think they’ll have a great shot at Mitch. - Knicks Film School
