Yes! Because there are no long term consequences of playing through pain, like ever! Let's come to all the conclusions we ever need after a game or 2!
Yes! Because coming to conclusions BEFORE any games is even better!

I agree Knicks absolutely need to extend RJ this summer. We need to nip the Porzingis 2.0 scenario in the bud
That's setting everyone up for failure or really not understanding what the process is for someone like RJ. Those guys typically don't extend in the summer before their last year for a lot of very obvious reasons.
I said the Knicks would offer him a max. Whether he takes it is another question, but every player wants to be offered the max rookie extension.
If we are letting Mitch walk for nothing why not also let RJ do the same?
You do understand the difference between UFA and RFA, right?

he's a troll. It always ends in "what about" arguments or just something to trigger people or distract from the total lack of any non-troll substance.
When I read his posts this is the Phil I think of
Maybe he was cool but he's CHANGED.

That really stopped Porzingis from leaving

Most certainly did. Was the difference ofgetting traded with a torn ACL vs. walking out on knicks with no compensations back to the team.

Lets remind ourselves.
It's fair to say the Knicks got Rose, Grimes, Julius, Rokas, McBride, IQ, Detroit 2023 2nd round pick, Dallas 2023 first round pick, and then used cap space additionally on Taj, Fournier, Burks, Noel.
Dallas got THJr, Sinwiddie, Bertans.
Both trees are a bit dated so it may be off some.

Lets Help PhilC here……
Hey, whose a better NY quarterback?
1. Zach Wilson 2. Charlie Ward

Kudos, since RJ back that ankle gets him to the foul line with elite player frequency. And his % is climbing nice. That ankle is vocal, provides leadership and he is blending in better with Randle.
What a great growth spurt for Randle and his his confidence.
OP, if that ankle was not good I agree he should have sat. My point was you took that he had pain and was intimate with his scenario and made a judgement. Many of us do similar. Winning is more fun!

RJ's bum uncle is the MVP of this team- its been fun watch RJ go from Rookie who Randle and Payton froze out and refused to pass to, even when open, to corner 3 RJ ;last season, to running the offense since returning with his bum uncle

Make fun if you must. I could care less. I still think that I had a legit concern at the time. If nothing bad happens of it I will have been very happy to had been wrong.

Dude, take it all with a grain of salt and enjoy it. Your not happy yet? Knick fans have to take this and enjoy the moment. You never know what happens next…..

C’mon, not really. Admit it, you know there is a small piece of you that wants RJ to need surgery after the season so you are “Vindicated”. Nothing sweeter than being “Drunk Ancle” sometimes and being RIGHT!!
What a great summer you’d have!!!!

Ignore Nalod. He just likes to be the thought/fandom police.Spouts on and on and meta-fan psychology. If he's not just calling you some name incessantly. "Rainman", "drunk uncle", and whatever he was calling Briggs. Meanwhile his posts are stream of consciousness rubbish. His schtick has gotten old.

Alrighty then More interesting topics at hand anyway, like Deuce getting reps with the big boys. I am excited about that

The Smiley thing indicates playful bantor. I have no nicknames for Briggs. “Drunk ANcle” is a play on words.. I guess the SMiley thing is not effective. We were having fun. Panos is now policing my policing. We look out for each other on the UK.
MY own issues, they are too numerous to discuss. Vanity? Mabye I have issue with it and when poster can’t have fun in the when faced with such an extreme post as you did.
I do discuss hoop a lot. But RJ returned and continued the most important stretch of his career were a young player finds his stride thru experience. To have a young player play important minutes as he has and then the team starts playing better and better. To increase minimal odds by tanking vs. developing players as we are doing with sim, RJ, IQ and now deuce is so important. Cam and Grimes were also on track.
This is why you play your yoot and if they are healthy so much the better.
Grant Hill was a max player superstar that was pressured to carry a franchise.
Why do I get down on some posts? Cuz you double down and dug in more. Your a last word kind of guy who won’t give in. I respect that actually, but lord knows we all get shit wrong from time to time. And yes I get your suggestion of caution for his ankle. But to not see the magnificent growth and say “Perhaps its worth the risk then defer to another season”………. He scored 46 pts after your post. You dug in further. And for the record, dudes like 1248 earn the nicknames. 99% of the time my psychobabble is about a post, not the poster. I have no name for Briggs. 1248, Playa, playa2 and TMS all gone as they just could not contain and melted themselves out.
martin@ 3/14/2022 9:53 AM
Bum ankle or not, these are still not good numbers
For RJ, it seems to me he is getting to his spots, he just has to make some shots.
