If Leon is truly lying in the weeds, stockpiling all this extra crap for the big move, THIS is the move to make. Zion. Do it. And if he falls apart here you live with it. You want greatness? That's the guy. There isn't a flawless HOFer in his prime player just waiting to be gift wrapped to the Knicks. Only the Lakers and Celtics get that kind of lucky. If you want that player, you need to take the risk once in a while. Zion is that player. And from all the tea leaves HE WANTS TO BE HERE!
First off at what price is “heaven and earth”? With Randles apparent state his trade value has dropped which is problematic. One has to consider what s left after you get Zion and can the team build in a two year window to compete?
If Zion falls apart the price is awful. Those picks have to be protected or the eddy trade looks good in comparision! “Real fans” will sweat it out. Not. Question of not wanting him but not everything is as easy as saying “AD got out, so will Zion”.
There is no verification of where he wants to be. His only leverage is to say he won’t resign in Nola take the risk of injury for two seasons to gain that kind of freedom and say he’ll only up with knicks. And, knicks have to want that. Ask yourself what don’t you know about him and his situation that you’d want to before you make a deal that won’t be a layup and could knock you back YEARS if he is unable to stay on the court.
Also study NOLA and that they have a good inventory of picks still and nice young parts. Obvious a healthy minded spirit and body Randle is a good contract and couldd fit nice but is that what we think/want?
If Zion wants to come here (he does) and all it might cost is Randle and a future pick you gotta consider it seriously

Oh he’ll be huge.
I hear he's practically bursting with excitement at the idea of having NY as his smorgasbord. He's rounding into shape as we speak.
I think the whole Zion thing is overinflated. All we can really do is Weight and Watch.
Many empty calorlies lacking substance.

He does? Where is it written? When did he say it? He tell you? Or you looking at blogs that do bloated (No pun intended) headlines?
I agree though if its just Randle and a pick. Sure.

No Zion is pushing 350lbs and looking disinterested the few times a month he shows up to team meetings because he wants to continue play in a small market that is barely aware they have an nba franchise

And thats your reason why he wants to play in NYC for the knicks?
You know what he weighs? You have laid eyes on him while in exile? Whats in his head?
stop making shit up. Either source and repeat or just stop typing empty words.

350 is his game weight! I saw pictures earlier and he looked more like 400.
If any franchise right now is in a position to set up a 3 star scenario, it is NY with RJ who can call up Zion and say, yo, how about you come to NY with me and Cam? Granted- there is a lot of supposition there- but not horribly unreasonable.
There were reports of Zion hitting 330 pounds for what it's worth. NBC Sports for one. So we'll assume it's less. But how many pounds over his optimum weight is he? 30? 40? How does that impact his game, his body? Even more, what does it say about his attitude and approach which already appear a bit stinky?
I try not to make definitive statements especially since I really don't know s#!t. But a "red flag" might be in order I'd profess. Check the history of talented players who ate themselves out of the league. So make a reasonable trade betting on the upside? I can live with that. Moving Heaven and Earth? Sounds like a same ol' Knicks move to me.

His optimum weight is around 290lbs. If he wants to stay in New Orleans he sure has a funny way of signaling that
