I’ll take a stab. Deuce is good enough to be the alpha on the Gleague. But as 4th option he might still lack the skills to manage when to be aggressive and when not. If hesitant it throws up the already not so great timing.

If a team can jump out to a lead with burks that coach believes they can win. Fans don’t agree. The result is the game is lost.
Media puts ideas in fans heads and even announcers on ESPN were all like “i can see why fans are enthusiastic about reddish’s potential. Media knows what we about.

We don’t read about OBI being robbed of minutes anymore?
Grimes got in the rotation, so that was a dead story.
with him out, reddish is getting his and looks good

We got guys harping for deuce who profess to not be watching games anymore? Too bad. Box score tells a lot but not the whole story. IQ is looking incrementally better and more comfortable. Funny to see him and Maxey. Visually they are similar. Maxy better defender. It was said that his game really opened up with Harden. chemistry matters and Harden draws defenders.

Speaking of Harden, on paper nets did really good but seen him again and its amazing how fast he dropped the weight and his movement improved. Thats a very potent pairing with Embiid they got and underrated Harris. Im not sure their depth will be enough to carry them but they will be a handful if healthy.

Always an IF

The bold could definitely be the case. He even talks about having more freedom in the G League to control the game as opposed to the NBA in his recent interview. Where that argument falls apart is then that means he needs more time in the NBA to learn how how to excel in that role. Going back to the G League is not going to help because no matter how many times you send him down he will not learn what you specified since he is the best player in the G League. So you might not notice but what you are saying is Thibs will just skip this year for developing McBride since he won't give him time to work on the issue you specified.

Deuce can dominate the guys in the GLeauge. It's on him and the coaching staff within the Gleague to put him in different position to work on the things that he may not be as efficient.

Deuce has talked about ball screens and how that is pretty much all the NBA teams run; it's something his college team didn't run a ton of. Deuce and other guys can choose to just physically dominate the opponents or run sets that are similar to the big league and put Deuce into a position to make real time decisions about where to pass, how to read defenses, etc.

You CAN work on things even when you are the best player in the game. It is hard to do. Got to recognize and choose to put yourself in that position.

Deuce would gain a ton of experience playing in the NBA game.

The Knicks are also trying different things with RJ and running things through him. It's hard enough for RJ to learn on the job while 2 or 3 other guys are also learning where and when to be on the court. We have seen Jericho mess up being out of position more than once over the past few games; it's OK but when he is out of sync, other guys get out of sync and now you are also not teaching RJ or creating an environment where there is too much chaos.

There is a trickle effect everywhere.

Throwing guys on the court just to be on the court is not necessarily learning. It has to be a coordinated effort all around.

Every game plays out exactly the same because Thibs refuses to change anything unless he's forced to- there's nothing left to say now, we're just stuck in Thibs time loop, it's beyond tedious to watch or even discuss anymore.

Perfect!!

you can flavor it Thibs but its the same thing in Knick land over and over... the coach is playing the guys the FO brought in, but has failed to turn Toney Douglas, or Frank Ntilikina or Frank Williams into the PG savior this team needs. Its always on the coach... so yeah lets bring in Atkinson or promote one of Leon's bench guys or maybe world wide wes can promise us the stars are coming the stars are coming.

Fire Thibs.. restart the count.

Tread lightly, you're one Mardy Collins away from starting a war.

Can someone help me understand why Sims gets called for a blocking foul on the second clip?

Literally how?

There is no denying that the front office did a poor job of identifying players to add to this team this summer. Additionally, Thibs has done a poor job of adjusting to the players he has and trying to play to their strengths. Two things can exist at the same time. Me criticizing Thibs does not equal me letting the front office off the hook.

I was very skeptical of bringing in an Agent to take over as the president of basketball operations. Especially when you consider that we hired a novice to replace Mills, who didn't have experience running a basketball team, who was hired to replace another novice in Phil Jackson who also had zero experience running the front office. It all goes back to Dolan. I guess the "Thibs time loop" is a microcosm of the "Knicks time loop" and we are all stuck....
