our guys seemed to get tired down the stretch - Taj playing tooooo much. McBride playing well and yanked out of nowhere. Barrett 2 of 12 in the second half? You don't win games shooting like that.

Might be more fun but it’s a worse team.
I mean we're 10 games under .500 with him. Might as well have fun...
I am not watching the game but I bet Thibs went heavy on the vets down the stretch again.
Is Trae growing a mini-Trae on his face?
Damn even Trae said to get Taj off the court.

Gibson played the entire 4th f******* quarter while Obi sat
...Meanwhile, Gibson's man doubled off of him to clog the paint.
Thibs is the unintentional tank commander

Our little useless winning streak killed the chance of us moving up anywhere good. It happens every year. We get a useless winning streak to kill out draft position hopes near the end.

Say it louder so Martin can hear u. Been saying that’s my issue with thibs all season. Why draft Obi so high? We already had taj.

After Deuce-McBride hit the 3-ball to give the Knicks a 10 pt lead, and the Hawks followed with a 3-ball shot. That was the time for Thibs to call a time-out to give the 3 rookie lineup a coach-confidence, and tell Quickley, McBride, and Grimes to keep running the ball the next 2 to 3 minutes, plus take Taj Gibson out the lineup for a player they practice with all season Obi Toppin. Keeping Obi Toppin on the bench the entire 4th quarter tells Knicks fans "Coach Thibs is TANKING this game too!".
RJ Barrett was a BUST the 2nd half of the game trying to defend Bogdanovic (32 pts) without defending him close and committing a foul or 2. Plus Barrett's dribble-dribble dribble and 2-12 shooting for 22 min on offense in the 2nd half would not let the Knicks take control of the game.
MitchRob & Obi Toppin front-court (without turn-over Randle) looked dominate over the Hawks and should've received 30 minutes together in a lineup to beat the Hawks by double-digits.
RJ needs room in the paint. When his shot isn’t falling, he tends to put his head down and attack the rim. In the 4th, they played team defense against RJ and made it tough for him to counter. Something he has to work on in the off season. It’s also a message to the FO that we need to surround RJ with shooters not just scorers like cam. But Steve Novak type shooters or efficient catch and shoot players.
Deuce hit a nice 3. Maybe him dominating the gleague and getting 3 mins per game is helping his development. At least we know he can be a rotational player or a valuable trade with loads of potential.

Losing while having fun. I bet the timeout huddles were more family-friendly and entertaining, too.
Check please.
Not much you can do when Young is hitting 30' threes but the defense overall was really poor. Especially on closing out on Bogdanovic and Huerter. And the lack of a closer continued to kill us. We just cannot get a good shot in the final 5 minutes. It's either a turnover or RJ/Randle forcing a bad shot.

Very disappointed in Obi. He wasn't 'bad' but he didn't take advantage of the opportunity. It's kind of embarrassing to get outplayed by a 100 year old Taj Gibson in was supposed to be your personal 'Game 7'. I just continue to lean on Obi just simply not being that good. He's very limited. Too limited for his age and where he was selected. We were supposed to get an NBA ready player and he just doesn't do enough to warrant big minutes.
10 more to go.
