Knicks have a lot of good players. Hopefully they figure out something positive for next year.
The kids are alright………..
Invaluable experience on a road victory. Gibson the chaperone……..
Clean, what was there to worry? Kids are making Progress.
IQ looking like a crafty PG out there.

Shhhhhh…..we not aloud to be happy for deuce on this forum.
This development should’ve started earlier. We could’ve lost with this same young squad back when Kemba was removed AND the vets wasn’t bringing it. IQ should’ve been the starter. Deuce should’ve been in the rotation. Thank God for Covid or grimes would’ve been in the gleague dominating.
This is why you play your future and sit the vets that’s not bringing any energy….since the yoots we have play with 2 way energy on both ends. No they was not ready back then. But you learn on the job, starting with giving 100% energy on both ends. Their energy alone adds more wins than playing the vets 30 plus mins.
Some Knick fans love bringing up knox and Frank who got minutes early and did nothing. Love to protect thibs like he doesn’t make mistakes. Maybe just maybe deuce, IQ, Grimes, Obi and Sims not only better players but they bring energy and high motor…….the polar opposite of knox, Frank and whoever else we had with low energy Randle.
Now let’s build on this in the off season. Stop with this yearly rebuild shet. And start building on top of what we already have. Remove the dead weight vets and promote the youths.
beg to disagree coach - you do not need Randle.
Amazing how every player looks happy again. No Randle temper tantrums to ruin the mood.
Made free throws down the stretch.
Great win! Let’s s#!t on Randle.

Skills were denied or honed over a season. Team has developed, not been denied. Not a much fun as a conspiracy. Its like you upset if all fans enjoy the victory.
Thibs is the teacher. You got to pass the test in practice (we can’t see it) and then you get on the floor.
The kids were not held back, they had to earn it. They did. They got in the show.
Perhaps if you don’t do it, they fall flat.
If you put them in too soon its ugly. Its not.

Thank You D.Rose!
Thank You Taj Gibson!
Quickley's on his way to become another (Star Combo-guard) Marcus Smart.
The Quickley's summer league-Knicks started the 4th quarter on a 24-6 run .. Dynamic STOPS !!!

Randle & Barrett's no-chemistry on offense/defense has been the problem from day one, they are 24 to 30 minute role-players, and 3rd option shooters. They have no NBA floor leadership in their blood and performance for teammates to follow.
Quickley's 2-Way leadership and 20 pts in the final quarter .. Gets Team Ball !!!
The Knicks summer league lineup (Quickley, McBride, Grimes, Sims) has exposed COY Thibs by going on a 38-15 run in the 4th quarter for a 111-103 Knicks WIN over the (47-27) Miami Heats head coach Spoelstra .. who's probably cursing out the Heats coaches and roster of players right now LMAO
Great Yoot Friday Night WIN !!!

Stop it…it’s 2022 not 1990’s. Nobody earns anything anymore. Your talent and impact on the game matters. Look around the league. There are more young players getting major PT all over the nba. All season the yoots were the best 5 or second unit led by IQ and starters were getting blown out. Over and over and over #INSANITY. Thibs had plenty of time to start the youth movement with quickley after it was obvious Burks was not the answer and quickley was finishing games anyway.
All I’m saying thibs has no flexibility and had the longest starting 5 in the nba and the worse starting 5 in the nba. Really? Doesn’t take a genius to see a change or 3 was needed. IQ was killing in nba games off the bench and against starters. Had a slump or two and shot out of it. IQ is a second year player who had more PT as a rookie. He earned his stripes. I doubt he was some slouch in practice. It’s ok man….I’m not perfect either. I’ve made plenty of mistakes and so has thibs. He left the food in the oven a little too long. Some say just right. But right now that’s water under the bridge. At this point it’s very clear to me and hopefully to thibs and the FO.
This youth movement and draft trades and draft pick collections has been a success. FA pickups has been below average due to the lack of chemistry between Kemba EF Randle and RJ. All of them are good nba players individually but not together. EF is a great off the bench player who can guard bench players and not get exposed on defense against starters. Don’t see how Randle and RJ can last so pick the younger guy and remove the emotional instability in Randle. Too many slashing lefties anyway occupying the same half court block.
Move Burks back to his normal SG or SF and finisher in the 4th player with iso and penetration spin jumpers. We got too many vets and yoots. A blessing and a curse. Now is when you create certain trading packages. FO needs to step up on trade creativity like they did with draft picks. EF, Kemba, Randle, Mitch, Burks, Noel. Subtraction by addition. Trade players for picks. Make it happen
Like he said, I had no idea Obi had that in his toolkit. Now he is getting real time I wonder what else he will show us.
I hope with this game, the FO saw a reason why going forward they should now double down on the young knicks.i dont think Thibs will do the shift on his own. The FO should negotiate and lobby for the young knicks to start playing regular minutes going forward.
OK, after watching the game I have to give Thibs props. Nearing the end of the 4th he subbed in RJ and Obi. I thought for sure Obi would come in for Sims. Instead he subbed out Taj. I know how hard of a decision that must have been for him so I have to give him props for it. As a thank you to Thibs Sims got us a huge offensive rebound that helped clinch the game at around the 1 minute mark. I also thought RJ for Grimes was the right decision.

It's great to see them shine and at the same time infuriating pondering what could have been- that endless losing stretch where Thibs just kept doing exactly the same thing with the starters, refusing to play the young guys, getting exactly the same outcome every game, will haunt us for a while
