I might be done with the Knicks for this season.

I'm not ready to give up on him yet, but he does have a ton of work to do. FTs! Hitting the open 3pt shot. Finishing at the rim when contested.
Glad we lost, hope we land a stud in the draft- we need one. RJ is really good- I don't know that he can become great.

and we did it without Randle!

People act like being a #2/#3 guy is bad its not. I'm not with the people who want to trade Randle for nothing so that i can watch this kid go 7/27. He's not even close to being ready.

I told u the game was lost. These kids aren't that good.
BARRETT IS A FUCKING BUST

so, its not just when Randle plays
Great game, too bad we lost. Sims and Obi both looked GT.
Is this a great tank win or loss?
Duce got benched quickly for that bad jump shot thibs wasn't having it with him. Duce does have a bad jump shot and needs to improve next year for him be threat on floor.

I been done with Thibs Trio lineup RJ Barrett, Burks, and Fournier not co-existing on offense/defense in a lineup together since their performance in December & January. It's April and the three players still can't perform well together under pressure.
Barrett and Burks play well as each other backups, they shouldn't be in a lineup together longer than 3 min.
And Fournier are their backups.
Tonight McBride spose to recieve 20 to 28 minutes, having the lead the first 3 quarters.
Barrett 45 minutes shooting 7-27 FG shots
How well have the trio of Barrett, Burks, and Fournier lineup looked to you the past 3 months ???
Good?
Average?
Bad?
No Mitch, Grimes, McBride banged up and RJ had a bad game.
Yep, “IM DONE”……………..
RJ is given the keys as a 21 year old to go out and get beat up and Learn. Thats what developing does.
The assumption is a team a bit depleated builds a lead and fans assume they can keep that pace up becuause its working? No.
There is no rivalry other than geographic. We are not playing for anything. Being a spoiler is empty. IS winning important or defeating another? One and the same? Not really.
sure I wanted knicks to in. Sure I wanted RJ to have a better game. Kid had a bad game. They stick out more cuz its less common now. Thats progress.
Yeah, Mitch and Grimes and Deuce were going to stop Batman and Robin in the second half. Sure they were.
Hmmmmm... "AT LEAST WE DID IT WITHOUT RANDLE"
That 19-0 run in the first half was worse than fool's gold.
RJ still can't hit shit from 3 this season, is his problem shooting in front of crowds too?
And Obi couldn't manage to back down Kyrie Irving, the reigning DPOY.
Yes, I wanted to beat the Nets. Always.
Okay, on to taking a Wiz on KP. Unless of course, he's not playing.
The ball and player movement was really good in the first half with 19 assists. Yes, the nets picked up their intensity in the second half, but we helped them out by becoming stagnant and running a series of Iso's, beginning with Burks in the 3rd quarter. This has been a theme throughout the season; we go away from what has been working, and slow the game down and run a series of Iso's in the 2nd half. Difficult to score consistently when you are running iso's with inefficient players.
It really hurts my soul to watch those clowns KD and Kyrie celebrate like that on our court. So wished someone would have done something! Not start a brawl or nothing crazy but get in his face or give him a hard foul! I know I probably sound like a bitter old man and I totally get those days are over but it still irks me.
This game felt like we've seen the same game all season. We go up big, team makes a run and we get destroyed in the fourth. The lack of PG and bonified Super Star just kills us. I think RJ will continue to get better and maybe he will get there as a closer but he's not there right now.
Very impressed by Sims! He is tough and can rebound! With the 10th or 11th pick and several Centers available to choose from (Duren, Williams, Kessler), I don't think I'm spending money on Mitch with his durability issues.

We go away from it or does defense take it away? Doe you accout players on court minutes and pace? They get tired too. No doubt the score tells the tale.
The other night my neighbor had a big NCAA finals party and is rabid UNC fans. Half time they got in back yard and whooped it up. I came over and told them “your team is not deep, and they will get tired. That, and Kansas is deep and they big………He razzed me”. Next morning he was contrite. “How did you know?” He asked. “Dude, I did not say UNC would not pull it out but ebb and flow with adjustments happen as do players get tired. Its about execution, not what the coach is asking them to do, UNC had to factor lack of depth and guys named Puff are not monsters eitehr.”
Thibs knows this. All coaches do. Try to get out in front of it and when you do and it don’t work it looks bad. When it does it seems ok cuz they got the win.

Good take. We need a superstar! We need “we here with no fans” randle!!!! Drose is missed. dude has the smarts to read things and make good choices.
I think we can start with Norlens, let simms ease in more and draft a rookie that perhaps can work into the rotation over time. Norlens will not make 82 games! Have to hope some form or return to his norm. He goes back to being back up if simms or Rookie c can take those minutes.
