He's got that zombie-killer thing going, alot like Bam Adebayo. Gotta love it. Relentlessness is a great quality.
If he ever develops a real jumper, this kid is going to be scary.
Get simms to develop a sky hook and some post moves Kareem 2.0
Cool name, but doesn't give the impression of defensive prowess. The walls of Jericho literally fell down when the Israelites marched around it blowing horns. Not to get overly biblical, and I know the story is intended to be a testament to the power the almighty to bring down the greatest walls of their enemies, but if we are going to pick a the best name for the best defensive player, I mean, you have to go with Knox right?

Great post!
Another "Brick" in the Wall....
I love Jericho. Him and Mitch sets the C position for more than a couple of years. If IQ or Deuce develops into the PG we need or we get PG via draft or free agency then we are golden.
"But when asked if it felt good to block Durant, the modest Sims just smiled, his way of issuing a no comment.
“Kevin’s Kevin,” Sims added. “He’s going to do what he does. You got to try your best.”
Sims posted his best statistical performance Wednesday with his first double-double – 10 points, 13 rebounds, three blocks. He shot 4 of 6 from the field – all his field goals on dunks. His shooting percentage is 76.1 percent for the season."
Marc Berman
Hes okay. I'd be more estatic if he wasn't 23 already but the upside to be at least an average backup big is there.

It's biblical !

Agree…..he’s a keeper. And he’s becoming a defensive leader that others will follow. Deuce has that same energy. The more we continue with this roster build adding 2 way players like sims, grimes and deuce, the easier it is for thibs to coach his style of basketball. I wish I saw this game. Glad to see sims is able to show his growth on the main stage. Makes it easier to prepare for Mitch departure.
I forget but one of our faithful here has often said “Sims is not a rim protector” and the narrative is to resign mitch even if 20mil per. Mitch is a 8pts and 8 rebs a game
Jared allen is 16 pts almost 11 rebs per.
I won’t vouch for Sims upside but if he can come close to mitch’s numbers then you let him walk if a trade cannot be worked out or his salary will not fit here. I like mitch but won’t find the FO in great error given the timeline of events given his injuries and financial constraints.

Probably worth comparing the per 36 numbers on Mitch and Jarrett and separately noting the number of actual point guards on each roster before using the scoring totals as anything.
Per 36. Allen is 18 pts and 12 rebs with 1.5 blocks on 67% eFG and 18% usage. Robinson is 12 points and 12 rebounds with 2.6 blocks on 76% eFG and 11% usage.
Sims is going to be really good, but I don't see any reason he just replaces Robinson right now where Robinson is exactly what we need. Noel can be moved.

I agree. Mitch Jericho is not an or statement but an and statement.

Thats Allans real stats and projects if mitch can play that amount.
I agree, chemistry with a PG could enhance. Lets not forget Allen actually fulfilled those numbers.
Again, Mitch is what we need? WE 10 games under .500. He might not be the "problem" but he is not the solution either? one never Knows.

We are talking about the difference between 26 and 32 minutes per game averaged over the course of a season. Its not like a small sample set where a guy gets 3 rebounds in 3 minutes and I think he will average 36 rebounds per game.
If you check the game log, the records from games where he played more than 32 minutes back this up entirely. I sorted Robinson's Game Log by minutes played. Click that column if it doesn't do it automatically.

We can say that Robinson was the least bad of the original starting 5 of Kemba/Fournier/Barrett/Randle/Robinson. The entire starting unit was dysfunctional.
I think Robinson plays his role on this team really well. The fact that the back court can't stay in front of their man is not on Robinson.

we 3-7 in games he played more than 32 min. I suppose we can then break it into who was on the court with him, or not. Etc.........
Im not really advocating strong one way or the other. I like mitch. Im really just trying to be objective and not think its freaking "Typical" knick debacle as some might depict.
Curious what the market will bring for him.

We are 8-9 in games he played more than 30 mins vs 3-7 in games he played more than 32, ergo he should only play 30-32 mins? This is stat stuffing where we find a stat that supports a point. Happens all the time, but doesn’t make it right.
Starting lineup needs to change. Mitch is due for a contract, but I don’t think changing him is the change they need. Removing Kemba was a start.
For the record Jericho was in the Jordan Valley. So there's that.
“Joshua fought the battle of Jericho and the walls came tumbling down”.
Jericho, NY on Long Island. They got walls now on both Long Island Expressway and Northern State. Keeps the noise out.
Joshua won’t mess with those.
