Most of us have been known he can do this tho
Yall must watch college ball then because he never did some of this stuff in the NBA.
Yeah I watched him a bit a Dayton to be fair lol
If OBI Toppin can be a really good 3pt shooter he can be some kind of John Collins lol
I wish i was in those stands man
I get that this is the Wizard's C Team. I get what this means for the draft. But it sure feels good watching Obi show out like this.
Good game by Obi but I was told on this site that stats against "G-League" teams don't count
The best things about Obi going off with scoring is he is efficient and he does it in the flow of the offense.

He exploits the defense with bb iq and speed.
Those are big boy averages. At first glance I did not like those rebound numbers but when you notice he is always leaking out they make sense. With our team getting easy scores is more important since our offense sucks. So trading rebs for transition pts is worth it.
Maybe I am reading too much into this but I find it super interesting when he says "...hopefully if we are back here next year" Why would he needs to say that. When Obi talks about other players like Quick on the team he never qualifies it with "if we are back next year". For instance, when asked about what Quick and Obi have to work on for next year he never qualified that answer. There is stuff going on behind the scenes with Randle that we don't know about.
I see how Obi operates now. To avoid drama he will never directly complain or criticize. He will throw out little subliminals to tell you how he really feels.
OBI as trade Fodder is a reality.
Randle wanting out, or chemistry don’t fit, or he knows were he is going and why is a reality.
A 35 pt game is not absolute but it don’t hurt his trade value. Obi wants to get paid the that only happens if he starts. Here or somewhere else.
After listening to Obi's recent interview I should have known something was going on with Randle when RJ was lobbing subliminals at him about how easy it is to keep fans on your side a few days ago and how open the young kids been about RJ being the leader of the team.
Very proud of Obi. These last few games were like his personal playoffs and he's taken full advantage of it! I think he's proving he's no Knox or Ntilikina and just needs a consistent role and minutes. He's pretty much made it super easy for me to go ahead and trade Randle this summer. Obi isn't as good as Randle but who cares? With Obi, there are no mood swings or inconsistent lack of effort and he doesn't argue with the refs after every foul and doesn't have terrible body language. I really hope Leon and co. have seen enough to pull the trigger. Trade Randle for expiring's, I really do not care. It's not going to get better with him. Get back a serviceable PF, draft someone who can play spot minutes or sign a vet with the MLE to split time with Obi next season.
It's been a disappointing season overall but I love how our young guys are finishing the season. I think Thibs deserves some credit for the improvements of these kids. IQ has especially improved A LOT. I still think we need a PG but IQ deserves a lot of minutes. He's earned it. Love Sims as well! He sets great picks and his passing is underrated. There is no need to spend $18M on Robinson this summer. The gap between Sims and Robinson isn't that imo.
Really hope RJ is OK. It was a good sign he was able to put weight on that leg and walk it off. But his season is over and I'm super proud of the jump he made in year 3. I have zero doubts or second thoughts of giving him that max extension. Like Breen mentioned last night, I'm not sure what his ceiling is but he will get there. RJ has the perfect work ethic and personality for this city. Complete opposite of Randle.

Im not willing to indict randle after a this one season and dump him. Not knowing the full extent of his gumpiness. Why? If its fixible or an outside the court issue perhaps he can get it back.
This is no cartoon good vs evil thing. I can and do like them both. Im super happy Obi is finishing good and fate has it he got a string of games. Frank could not. Knox did not. That was then. This is now. Too bad Cam could not get on the court
Obi is the fresh flavor and he is playing without the weight of a new contract or to make good on his role. That chnges if he starts and Randle is gone. I like the kid a lot. Knicks have choices and perhaps opportunities the better our guys play.
