No biggie. My expectation is very low. It’s just a quick process show that will give us 10 minutes of limited suspense Not even sure the lottery is that good. Kind of moved to Sharpe as pick 1
Why is an NFL insider tweeting about the Knicks. I am just hoping we don't get back any slots. We will never move up so no reason to ever expect that.

We will move back. Someone behind us will jump into the top 4. Lakers will probably get the number 1 pick because god forbid they don't get a top 5 pick

The Lakers do not have a pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. The Lakers gave up their 2022 first-round pick in the deal that brought Davis to Los Angeles. The Pelicans then included that pick in the Steven Adams-Jonas Valanciunas trade with a top-10 protection. That means if the Lakers' pick lands in the top-10, it'll go to the Pelicans. (The Grizzlies would instead get two second-round picks.) If it falls outside of the top-10, it'll go to the Grizzlies.
this should be the year we jump into the top 4. And if we do, we'll probably screw up the pick, select that skinny ass string bean player who will break his first day of summer league.

Of course- there would have been a sure fire way to land in the top 4- trade our pick for a washed up NBA star.

Briggs, you need to take that energy from the Rangers game and offer it to the basketball lottery gods as a tribute

Better yet, offer to buy UK tickets for opening night if the Knicks land the #1 pick
That is one sure fire way to change the fate of the Knick franchise!
Washington at 10th is going to get into the top 4 is my prediction.

you should watch that kid play... he's everything you would have hoped KP would be and has a great attitude. Good passer, fantastic rebounder, shot blocker, hits 3s... he would be an amazing piece to add
The jets will make the playoffs before we get a top 3 pick
And the jets aren’t making the playoffs for another 10+ years
moving up would be nice it doesnt have the feel of desperation past years had. This front office has a very good handle on the draft and have done a great job. I expect us to a get a good player at 11. If we move up it will become REALLY interesting
we will get the number 1 pick. roughly the same odds as the horse in the Kentucky derby

I'll admit I haven't watched him play - I just can't get past how skinny he is. The trauma of Fredrick Weiss & KP is still strong.
I just did the tankathon and Knicks keep getting 1,2,3 every 3rd try. Come on baby! Light my fire!
In a draft lottery first, the Knicks envelope contains…

We lose all our cap space and our pick.

So you are saying the Knicks really have a 33% chance of getting a top pick? NICE
The draft lottery would be a lot more interesting if they did it live.
I don't understand why they do it behind closed doors and then make announcements later.

I'm guessing the raw mechanics of the actual lottery is boring and they put on a show of the lottery representatives to sell advert $$?

And the simulator I played with yesterday, confirms your prediction. I was shocked how many times Washington moved up. It only took about 8-10 draft sims for the knicks to reach top 4. But the simulator tells me the knicks will stay put.

And it's just so 'Knicks' that two meaningless wins would cost us a top 4 pick.
