Isaiah Hartenstein for one of the Knicks top leadership players on the roster, veteran/player/coach Taj Gibson.
Will this FA signing turn out to be another Fournier for Bullocks, or Kemba for Payton's backcourt defense ???
The tandem of D.Rose & Taj Gibson strong team leadership in the rotation took the Bulls, Wolves, and Knicks to the playoffs .. Not Thibs crummy coaching without an offense/defense plan.
The Knicks FO and coach Thibs are not on the Same-Page !!!

We did not make the playoffs this past season. Not on Taj. Father Time.
Hey, we tried. We had Joakim Noah too!
Not on the same page? Your reading a book that has yet to be written.

Ah .. Last season we didn't have D.Rose offensive leadership in the 2nd half of the game in midseason.
Joakim Noah and D.Rose did not want to play on the Carmelo Anthony Knicks!
Camby either! Phil Jackson either, but the pay-check was to big to turn down.
The book was written the day Thibs took Kemba Walker out of the rotation !!!

YOu have 23 years of mostly inept to fall back and enjoy the negative position. Father time will catch to Drose and Taj. Better to preempt it then react.
It all works until it don’t.
It all gets sorted on the court

Good team leadership players for the Lockerroom/Practice/and bench are hard to come by ..
Miami Heats Udonis Haslem leadership has been on Pat Riley's roster since 2003 to 2022-23 season.
Udonis Haslem is a part of Lebron & D.Wade NBA Draft Class

Isaiah Hartenstein had the best three-point percentage with 30+ three-point attempts in 2021-22, at 46.7 percent
he shot exactly 30 3pointers last year
thats a HOF body of work if Briggs is scouting... good enough for me. We clearly got the Steph Curry of centers

If you've seen the dude's fiance, you already know he hits his shots.

Man I hope Obi gets a chance to play with Hart

That looks unbelievable. Our own mini Joker.

First time Ive checked out one of his highlight reels. Love those bounce passes. Threading the needle. Looking forward to hopefully better ball movement this season, with Brunson and Hartenstein on the roster.
I don't know if this was brought up in this thread yet but looking at that highlight of his passes I noticed they were off cuts and we ranked dead last in cuts last season. This is with Obi on the team who is n elite cutter. So if we can get more cuts to the hoop Hart can be a huge counter for the defenses we normally see. Teams start to try to blow up our DHOs so they will be open to back door cuts but we almost never do them.

My guess is that when this squad is on the court with a player who can make a precise passes like Hartenstein can. His teammates are going to do a better job of cutting. Knowing they will be rewarded.

I envision less minutes for Randle and……..Them playing together some.
Why?
Thibs is gonna coach it.
