Knicks · Knicks finally taking the PG position seriously, I love it! (page 2)

On the topic of PGs, I’m very surprised the Knicks didn’t flip a future pick for Tyty Washington. Besides being a Kentucky guard, this is a guy who was talked about as a lottery pick pretty close to the draft. The cost of acquiring a late first was cheap this year, and he would have been easily sold to the fan base on top of the Brunson plan. Knicks must be really confident in what they have for depth.

Milos Vujanic?

He was legend! Did we ever talk him up with wishful thinking!

It was during the Layden years, many Knicks fans were hoping that he would parachute in and help turn things around.

He was really allergic to playing in the US, judging from all the different teams/leagues he bounced around.

I do wish Deuce had seen more minutes last year to see what he was, as well as starting IQ, but I am very happy with the Brunson acquisition.
We probably need to move Fournier though. He is going to take minutes from Grimes and Cam (to a point.) And worst of all, we really can't have Fournier out there starting due to his defense.

As you alluded to, we should spend our money on wings, I think we are pretty good right now re PG (and in the next few years will probably move one of Joka or McBride, depending on a few things.)

Cam seems like odd man out once again. Moving Fournier would be fine but he’s our best shooter and the wing group is already limited. Barrett, Fournier, Grimes and Reddish. That’s it. No other wing prospects in the pipeline. While the PG room is full, the wing room isn’t. Grimes taking a big Step forward is probably the big x-factor this season. He’s our 3 and D guy, but if he can create a little too that will be huge. We need him to become a more versatile version of what Bullock was for us.

If the Knicks move Rose, that moves IQ to back up pg and Evan to back up 2 with Grimes starting at 2. That's how you free up time for Cam behind RJ.

No way to moving Rose. He’s essential to this rotation.

I reserve the right to wrong, but it appears that Rose might be done. Just doesn’t seem to be able to get on the court and now he’s a year older.

But he looks great when he plays... he's going to be motivated to be in shape and play. Trust me wants to play. Cant blame anyone for anything more than "Ill believe it when I see it"

Hey I hope so. He was pretty much the key to our great run 20/21.

There was an interview where he said the ankle injury that was fixed he dealt with for years and he feels better now that he had the surgery. I know guys just say that but it’s worth noting.

Don’t forget the next Dirk Maciej Lampe. I remember Layden on Mike and the Mad Dog talking up Lampe and Darko like they were legit nba superstars in the making

Lampe, Weis, Vujanic, Bargnani - that’s a lot of Eurotrash
