Feels to me like ESPN is pushing Givony from DraftExpress for more frontline draft staff this year than Woj

Picks 11 to 28 the talent is all flat, late lotto quality
Rupert has fallen; and there will be 1st round talent 31 to 40

most draft experts have said that the value picks in draft are in the 25-40 range so you are spot on. Wouldn't be surprised if Knicks traded into that range

Shocked about Kobe bufkins rise
Not surprised about cam’s fall - he appears 6-5” in shoes and looks weighted down when dunking- he’s not a leaper no matter what any metrics or photos show. Reminds me of a Caron butler type or a shorter “matrix” without the hops

Nothing crazy. They still have Dick in the lottery and they have Cam dropping to 9. They also have the Mavs picking Lively.

Lively’s rise is incredible - return of the big?
Clowney and keyonte in the late lotto is a surprise
Dicks fall is also surprising, but about right
Things get interesting at 20. Omp, then Hawkins, Miller, nnanji, Ben Sheppard (Allan Houston clone), jax-Davis, sidy, sasser, Rupert, Strawther, bates, etc
Ben Sheppard, omp, jax-Davis, Rupert are obtainable
Based on no science whatsoever it seems to me that whenever a draft is hyped you end up with a lot of meh
and the ones which are meh are the ones where some teams unearth stars in the mid first round. Flawed players who grow their game
then sometimes i think the top of the draft is the craziest. Here are the #2 picks since 2018 (you really would expect more from this slot)
Lonzo Ball
Bagley
Ja
Wiseman
Jalen Green
Chet
And then oddly the #3 picks for that period have been much better
Tatum
Luka
RJ
Lamelo
Mobley
Jabari Smith
Jah has performed on the court.
Zion when he plays has been transformative.
But you make a good point.
This time of year we really miss Marc Berman. He was the most connected with draft prospects and workouts. I know we don’t have a pick but we have heard nothing about guys the Knicks may like. I remember how berman hit on both Grimes and McBride 2 years ago. It’s so quiet without him.
Obi to Kings for the 24 and 54.
Then, Aller starts doing his thing and before you know it we traded the two picks, plus a future 2nd for Jazz 16th.
Fuck ainge!!!

If last year is any indication, it's likely that the Knicks aren't really feeling any prospect like that in the first round.

With the #1 pick in the 2023 draft the San Antonio Spurs select Trayce Jackson-Davis undersized and old center from University of Indiana.
