6'8, 7'2 wingspan with crazy hops... had a very good year in Gleague:

Between Sims and Hunt, I'm guessing the Knicks brass knew what it was doing in letting Taj go elsewhere.

Eh, they didn't let Taj do sh#t. Taj left on his own accord. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing Hunt grab that last spot on the big club. Did plays with the type of energy you need from an end of the bench type.

If he keeps improving he is going to make it to the league. He played 5 minutes for us last year. I remember not really giving a second thought to us giving him a two way in March. We need athleticism and he seems to be a guy that contributes in more ways then just on the stat sheet. The other SL’er Jeffries could have potential. We are going to need inexpensive talent. RJ’s extension is going to put a hurting on our salary cap. Being capped out with all mid level talent is not a great place to be.

Agree that the kid is extremely athletic.
Now just needs to work on the BB IQ part. Good but raw talent.
I have been more impressed with Jeffries. Feel he is a real pro.

Jeffries and hunt have motors like spree
BRIGGS @ 7/11/2022 3:11 PM
Needs to keep working on his 3 and ball handling. He’s a disruptive defensive player. See how the Knicks have been able to pin the ball out past the 3 ball line

I like Jeffries. I hope he earns something here. Physical player who can drive and hit the 3 ball. He’s been darn good

It’s fun to pull for guys like Hunt instead of ring chasing divas.

There is a "who is this guy?" vibe to him. Agree that Id like to see Hunt get a roster spot. Versatile scorer.

His defense is his calling card and man he's built for it. His problem is shooting and he's Andre Roberson (who was a first rounder) right now, but that's not a bad thing to have waiting in the wings at 22 y/o. He's clearly got some big gaps but his physical profile is NBA top shelf and he's got some skills right now that could help in a pinch (see Sims last year)

I especially like the "type" of guys the FO seems to be putting time into. High motor, high level athletes, long rangy guys... starting to see some direction of a program here after a couple years and it looks pretty sane. What we really need next is a big jump from one of our young guys... Mitch/RJ/Brunson/IQ/Grimes/Obi/Hart. I see 7 guys in the rotation next year all capable of leveling up. Not saying all will, or even some... but the there is undeniable "upside" to the current roster. Not mentioned were Fournier who was one of the league's best shooters last year and everone's favorite Jules who's looking more and more like he's ready to have a bounce back show me season

I disagree. They didn't pick up Taj contract this year in order to make room for Brunson and IHart. Taj is probably still looking for PT which would virtually be nil on the Knicks this year (major injuries not included).

I concur with this take on the FO and roster. No guarantees but looking for the youngun(s) who will take a big step. The organization does have a vision and of course we’d like it to pay off. I prefer having a bit of patience to tearing it down for aging all stars.

Depends on how you look at it I guess. I'm guessing thing's stopped by Taj's with chocolates and flowers imploring him not to leave.

perfect way to describe him. i got my first extended look at him last night and was thinking exactly that. He will earn minutes wherever he is
