I've seen reports on FB that Derrick Rose wants out if he is not in the Knicks plans. Admittedly its on facebook, so it may be click bait, but seems like it may be little crowded with Jalen Brunson getting the lion's share of the minutes and Quickley backing him up.
Makes perfect sense. I have no qualms with that if in fact true.
I love the guy. Happy to see him go and chase with a contender. Happy to see him to chicago if they can eat his salary.
Give us a 2nd round pick of an expiring we can bench.
Not happy to see us as a buy out unless we get to March and he out of rotation.
Im sure he'll be missed in many aspects but time to build with the guys that have yoot and contracts into the future.
Again, if this is mutually agreed. Time line has to work for both.

Facebook? I don't know if I would give this too much attention. Rose and Thibs are married. But if true, makes since for Rose to chase a ring with the Lakers maybe? Especially if they off load Westbricks contract. Would be a nice way to clear some rotation players, maybe include Cam (which I rather not for the record). But if it helps the team and we get a pick from it, seems like a no brainer.
Not seeing this anywhere. I'm going to chalk it up to some guy on Facebook thinking "Knicks have a really young team, it'd make sense for Rose to want out...I just discovered breaking news!!!"
Neverminding rumors and such, when it comes o Rose I think first get on the court.
Rose isnt ring chasing. Listen to the guy. Look at the guy. He gets a huge payout every year from his sneaker deal so he just need to play in the league to get paid like a star. He just wants to play and and enjoy the game and enjoy life. He's great with coming off the bench for 20-25mpg. He loves Thibs. He likes the young guys.
Facebook is the worst place for misinformation. I stay away from that platform.

I originally saw the rumor on a page called Knicks Movement.

I ate some bad nachos at MSG and had a Knicks Movement.

I am registered on Facebook. When was the time I logged in ? I don't even remember, probably 10 years ago and even then it was for a mobile game login
Best part of the summer was when a reporter asked Rose what he thought of Miles and Rose had no clue who that was. He thought his name was Deuce

I don't see Rose going anywhere or losing his spot in the rotation. He and Quickly have good chemistry and JB will miss some games along the way.
He probably will be in the rotation as a backup pg at some point
Derrick Rose has proven without a shadow of doubt in the past two season to be the Knicks BEST winning player on the roster.
I have accepted the fact that D.Rose is 33 yrs old plus refuse to be in coach Thibs clueless starter lineup.

I wouldnt blame Rose for chasing a ring at this point in his career. As much as Rose has been a blessing to the Knicks (when healthy) the second time around. The FO shouldnt count on Rose staying healthy enough for a playoff run. Believe it would be overly optimistic.
If someone on the roster looks ready to step in, the FO should consider finding a contender for Rose to join. As part of a deal to upgrade the roster, or draft picks.
D.Rose is a Knicks KEEPER !!!
I'm sure D.Rose will be Brunson's best influence teammate to play winning ball this season.
Remember Jason Kidd boosted confidence in Brunson performance making him a starter.
I'm hoping to see a backcourt of Brunson & D.Rose on the court going down the stretch of games.

190 mil over 14 years that was! The contract ends Sept 30, 2025. ADIDAS could have reduced the contract by 50% if Drose did not get any all NBA or Allstar considerations, they never did.
If he retires, the contract does with him.

They have a long history together, going back to when JB was just a kid and D Rose was starring in Chicago.
As you pointed out Rose has the $$$. Has an MVP. Winning a ring would be that last thing left for him to accomplish. If we can help Rose get there, while getting us a draft pick in return. Or a young building block, I hope the FO goes for it.

Rose is a way past his prime player who will be getting $14.5 million this season to be Brunson’s backup. He should be thrilled to even be in the nba let alone have that situation
Rose won’t be traded. He is Thibs crutch needs him to win, without him Thibs is exposed as an average coach at best if not below. Rose goes so does Thibs.

They probably tried to dump Rose’s salary earlier in the offseason when they were cap manuevering to get Brunson. Teams preferred Kemba who is done and Noel who is a decent defensive center who barely plays
